    I purchased these seeds because I’ve always loved Crimson Sweet watermelons and needed a seeded variety to pair with my Triple Baby F1 seedless crop. Despite some early setbacks—cutworms wiped out my first planting—the second round of seeds exceeded all expectations. Every seed germinated beautifully, and the plants grew strong and vigorous. When I say hearty, I mean HEARTY! My largest this season was 26 lbs. Even in Wisconsin’s Zone 4b, where the season can be short and challenging, I ended up with more watermelons than I ever imagined. Out of just 12 seeds, I harvested well over 10 full-sized watermelons, with even more babies still coming in late in the season. Unfortunately, those last little ones didn't have time to fully mature before the cold set in, so I have clipped them to allow the larger ones still in my garden to get the last bit of nutrients before they're picked. The tiny ones were around 6-7 lbs but still sweet. These seeds proved themselves to be resilient, productive, and absolutely reliable. The flavor was everything I hoped for in a Crimson Sweet, and the yield was incredible—truly more than enough for a family and then some. I will absolutely be buying these again next season!
