I had thought a for a few growing seasons that it would be cool to try some coffee seeds. I did check out the reviews on here and saw plenty of gardeners having trouble getting them to germinate. I did get them to germinate in 3weeks. I did have to do some extra steps. I would suggest to soak beans for at minimum 12 hrs and no more than 24. Seeds that float will not germinate. Most of mine did float and I was disappointed till I realized that they needed to be husked. Once I did that only a few were floaters. They do require light to germinate. Most seed packets suggest burying them and I would say just push them firm to make soil contact and that’s it. They also like high humidity so cover them with plastic wrap or a humidity dome
