Transition your yard to the best orange wildflower meadow
A dazzling color, orange grabs our attention and holds it, flooding us with energy and excitement. The bright hue has strong associations with happiness, creativity and vitality. If orange flowers do so much for us, you can imagine how orange flowers draw pollinators to the garden.
Who says that your garden has to be tidy and neat? We love an unruly wildflower meadow here at Eden Brothers. Ditch the straight rows and scatter these orange wildflower mixes over whatever size space you have for a wild and wonderful flower patch that you’ll inevitably be sharing with pollinators.
Bold and beautiful orange blends for the cut flower grower
Any one of these stunning mixes will take your breath away, but we recommend Sunset Mix for our cut flower growers. Bold varieties like Cosmos Bright Lights and Zinnia Orange King are perfectly paired with classic flowers like Sunflower Henry Wilde and Yellow Cosmos to create a balanced blend that captures the essence of summer sunsets.
Make no mistake, both the Orange You Glad and Orange Sherbet mixes certainly deserve space in the cutting garden too. Orange Sherbet, a refined collection equally suited to a raised bed or patch of bare earth, contains the bright Orange Poppy and bicolored Prairie Coreopsis, paired with the lovely Cosmos Picotee and Zinnia Rose to provide contrasting color. The resulting mix is a living arrangement so gorgeous that you might struggle to cut it. But the more you cut these garden workhorses, the more they produce!
We love puns almost as much as we love the color orange, and Orange You Glad is a winning mix that’s sure to have you smiling, all the way from seed-sowing to harvest! Containing 15 annual varieties of wildflowers, you’d better buy Orange You Glad seed in bulk so that you’ll have enough seed stock for seasons to come. An easy mix to grow from seed with very little maintenance required, Orange You Glad would make the perfect gift to flower-inclined friends and family.
Easy to grow orange mixes + effortless to maintain
All of our Orange Wildflower Seed Mixes are very easy to grow, perfect for beginning gardeners and gardeners who don’t have much time on their hands. Order seed by the pound, according to our recommendations for seed coverage by square footage. Sow these wildflower seed mixes in either spring or fall—just be sure to wait until the last frost to prevent the seeds from germinating too early.
Choose a planting site that drains well and receives at least six hours of sunlight. Wildflowers are vigorous growers and hardy plants, taking root anywhere they can—even in the poorest soils. Mix the wildflower seeds with sand and scatter generously over the planting area. Gently water the seeded area to hydrate the seeds and press them into the soil. Weed the young seedlings and water occasionally, but once established, Orange Wildflower Seeds are a fairly drought-tolerant ground cover that will voluntarily re-seed year after year.
Reward yourself for your labor by picking a bouquet, and remember to take frequent breaks to watch the magic happening in your pollinator patch. Allow yourself to feel like a kid again, and don’t forget to run barefoot through your orange wildflower meadow.
