Customer photo review of Aster Seeds (Peony Duchess) - White

I grew these for my wedding and they did not disappoint. I grew some in seed trays, and succession sowed straight into the ground later in April (zone 8b), and they grew fantastic flowers. I planted a whole packet, and out of the bunch that germinated a few plants produced blown centers. Not sure if if a few of another variety snuck in or if it was due to the environment.. example of the blown center in the photo. They lasted nearly 2 weeks in a vase. I pinched them when they had a few sets of leaves and they grew super bushy, nice long stems. This is a hidden gem for a cut flower grower.

Customer photo review of Aster Seeds (Peony Duchess) - White

These were one of the easiest flowers I grew last spring and I plan to grow again this year. Took them some time after sprouting to get going and bloomed later in the season for me, but they looked exactly like the photos and were such a great addition to my in ground garden.

I bought two packs of the Duchess Aster seeds from Eden Brotgers in White and the Apricot/Coral color. I have 6 sprouts either the Coral pink seeds and zero germination with the white asters. I’m babying my six seedlings along but I feel the germination rate is poor. These got prepared soul in a 22 inch planter and good eastern and southern exposure. I kept them damp. I don’t think this was my failure.

I was rather disappointed by these seeds. I had planted an entire packet and had only 2 germinate. I wouldn't waste my time trying to plant these again.
