Donations Program

At Eden Brothers, we believe gardening has the power to strengthen communities for generations. Through our Donations Program, we provide seeds and bulbs to schools, seed libraries, non-profits, and mission-driven community gardens across the country. Together, we're inspiring the next generation of gardeners while helping communities flourish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to receive a donation?

We prioritize donations that support our core values of stewardship, care and joy. Donations are typically granted to: seed libraries; schools (public, charter, private or homeschool collectives); mission-driven community gardens; outdoor and nature access non-profits; food security and hunger relief non-profits; pollinator and conservation non-profits; botanical gardens and arboretums (educational programs only).

Every application is reviewed individually to help ensure it's the right fit for our community. We reserve the right to approve or decline applications at our discretion.

What types of seeds or bulbs are contained within your donated bundles?

Bundles are refreshed seasonally and contents vary. When possible, we will share on our donations applications what these bundles contain. Specific variety requests cannot always be accommodated, but we do our best to provide you with suitable products for your unique organization.

How often can organizations apply?

Organizations may submit one donation application per calendar year.

What types of donations are available?

Applicants may request one of the following curated seed bundles:

  • Veggie + Herb Seed Bundle
  • Flower Seed Bundle
  • Mixed Seed Bundle (flowers, vegetables, and herbs)

Bundles are assembled based on seasonal availability and current inventory.

How are donation bundles selected?

Our team carefully curates each bundle using available seasonal inventory. While every donation is thoughtfully assembled, bundle contents may vary throughout the year depending on product availability.

What documentation is required?

During the application process, you'll be asked to provide:

  • Proof of tax-deductible status
  • Organization name and primary contact
  • Organization website
  • Organization-associated email address
  • Shipping address
  • Social media account (if applicable)
  • A short description of your project

Additional information may be requested to help us evaluate your application.

Do you only donate to 501(c)(3) organizations?

We support organizations with recognized tax-deductible status. While many recipients are 501(c)(3) nonprofits, other qualifying tax-deductible organizations may also be eligible, such as schools and libraries.

Can schools apply without nonprofit status?

Yes, schools are welcome to apply. Applications should be submitted by a school representative using a school-associated email address.

When will I hear back about my application?

We review applications throughout the year as inventory allows. While response times vary seasonally, we'll contact you once your application has been reviewed.

Can I request specific varieties?

Because donations are curated from available inventory, we aren't able to guarantee specific seed varieties. If your organization has a particular educational or programmatic need, you're welcome to include that information in your application, and we'll do our best to accommodate it when possible.

Do you ship outside the United States?

At this time, our Donations Program is available only to organizations located within the United States.

Can my organization apply for both the Donations Program and Community Partner Program?

Yes. The two programs serve different purposes and can complement one another. While the Donations Program provides donated seed bundles, the Community Partner Program helps organizations raise funds through commissions earned through orders made via an affiliate link unique to your organization.

How does the Community Partner Program work?

Our Community Partner Program allows eligible organizations to earn commissions when supporters shop through your unique affiliate link. It's a great way to raise discretionary funds for garden supplies, educational programming, infrastructure improvements, and other organizational needs. We also welcome opportunities to collaborate on seasonal fundraising campaigns.

Are donations guaranteed?

Because our Donations Program is supported by available inventory and seasonal supply, we aren't able to fulfill every request. All applications are carefully reviewed, and approved organizations are selected based on eligibility, alignment with our mission, available inventory, and program capacity.
