Customer photo review of Peony Roots - Bridal Bouquet

I planted in Fall of 2023 and this year is the first bloom. There was only one flower so far but it is magnificent. I love it but I am impatient and want more! haha! I truly adore the beautiful coloring and texture-y, gorgeous, big bloom. Ahhhhh. I want to enjoy this summer but hope and pray that 2026 is going to be magical!

Customer photo review of Peony Roots - Bridal Bouquet

I purchased and planted these November of 2021. They all sprouted 2022 and 2023 I had flowers on 2 of 3 plants. Now in 2024 I have beautiful plants with many healthy buds and I'm excited to see the blooms on my third plant!

    Peony Roots - Bridal Bouquet

I spent the money on three of these roots. I planted them right away like I was supposed to. Only one has survived. The others died within a month. The one that survived still had no flowers. I should have known better. $50 on three roots for basically nothing.

Store owner replied: Hello Kaitlyn. Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that only one of your three Bridal Bouquet peonies established successfully! In Zone 7, spring-planted peonies often spend their first season establishing a strong root system, so it's common for surviving plants not to bloom the first year. Factors such as planting depth, drainage, soil moisture, and warm spring temperatures can also affect how well newly planted roots become established. We previously reached out with additional growing information and offered a resolution but have not yet heard back. If you'd still like assistance, please reply to that email and we'd be happy to help. At Eden Brothers, we stand behind our products and are committed to helping our customers grow beautiful, successful gardens!

Has leaves… which is nice.. maybe hoping for flowers the first season is asking too much?

    Peony Roots - Bridal Bouquet

Store owner replied: Hello Pamela N. Thank you for your review! Bare root peonies don’t flower right away because they need time to establish. In their first year, they focus on growing strong roots and foliage. Blooming usually begins in year 2 or 3, once the plant is well-established. Peonies are slow starters, but they're long-lived and worth the wait!

I can't believe they both bloomed the first spring after planting. This is the first time I have ever planted peonies in the fall and they bloomed the following spring. The color is so amazing. The most beautiful flowers in my spring garden. Looking forward to years of enjoying these plants.

    Peony Roots - Bridal Bouquet

I love peonies and have only grown one set of roots successfully, about 6 years ago and it took about two years to produce flowers. I purchased these roots in Dec 2018, potted them right away in a very large container and let them be. It didn't take long for the eyes to began growing and putting out stems and young foliage. I was very surprised because each set of roots had 4 to 5 eyes, so I was very optimistic about seeing flowers come the summer. Today I took a very good look at the foliage and tips of the stems and each root has flower buds forming! I will only purchase peonies from Eden Brothers from now on, and I highly recommend other home growers and enthusiasts to do the same.
