First year growing these flowers. So far no blooms and very small plants. In the same garden everything is blooming very well. I'm a but bummed 😞

Papaver orientale Roots - Beauty of Livermere

Store owner replied: Hello LVgardener. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers. While it’s frustrating to see small plants and no blooms, what you’re experiencing with Papaver orientale ‘Beauty of Livermere’ is actually very normal for their first year. Oriental poppies grown from bare roots or new divisions often focus their energy on establishing roots during their first growing season. You can expect stunning blooms in late spring to early summer, of year two. Certainly keep us updated! If this variety does not produce well for you, but we expect they will be beautiful for you. Thanks for reaching out!
