About Fritillaria Bulbs - Persica
Fritillaria imperialis
Commonly known as Persian lily, Persica Fritillaria make a unique addition to rock gardens, naturalized areas, or sunny garden borders. Bell-shaped plum flowers sit atop stiff stems with gray-green sword shaped leaves standing one to three feet tall. They bloom late spring to early summer, prefer full sun to part shade, and are best planted in groups. The dark spikes of Persica Fritillaria are equally as dramatic against rocks in the garden as they are in clusters amongst a planting of vibrant tulips.
