This classic violet flower is, unfortunately, not as well-known as it should be. Not only is it beautiful, but it is very easy to grow from seed. Violet Dame's Rocket is also very resilient and can be successfully planted in both sun and shade. Self-seeds readily and is considered invasive or restricted in some areas.

This item may be considered invasive in specific areas of the USA. Please check with your local agricultural office for more information.

I can’t believe they are selling this! This is an invasive species. There is literally a contest in some states of how much teams can pull out because it’s so problematic. Shame on you for selling!

    Dames Rocket Seeds - Violet

This plant is highly invasive in Ohio. It smothers the beautiful woodland natives like jack in the pulpit and trilliums. Plant Phlox instead for the same look later!

    Dames Rocket Seeds - Violet

Highly invasive plant to north America its alleopathic meaning it kills plants around it and spreads quickly replacing our natuve plants. Considered an ecological threat.

Do NOT plant this ! It is fast taking over here in southeastern West Virginia. It is extremely invasive! I can’t believe it is being sold!

    Dames Rocket Seeds - Violet

Ordered a mix of wild flowers that included Dames Rocket. My bad for not reading the list of seeds included in the mix more carefully. They are beautiful: Bright purple mixed in with white daisy and perennial flax blooms. But they are invasive in Illinois so I will be weeding them out of my wild prairie area so they don’t spread into public natives areas.

    Dames Rocket Seeds - Violet

These are considered invasive in Pennsylvania. Even though they are beautiful, they replace NATIVE spring flowers and crowd out desirable native seed plants. Please consider planting seeds that enhance our landscape for generations.

I have a part shade area in the back of our property. I sprinkled the seeds over the large area and the seeds all took! I can't wait to see them blossom next year!
