Customer photo review of Anemone Bulbs - Blanda Mix

I ordered a mix from you that had blanda mix anemones, purple cactus dahlias, and purple callas lilies. Only one of the three calla lilies sprouted, the Dahlia came up as a regular purple Dahlia not a cactus Dahlia and the anemones are all red. Extremely disappointed, learned a lesson of online shopping from you! I hard learned lesson.

I live in zone 10 (San Diego). I planted in a flower box with well draining soil on 11/31/25 and after a month got curious and dug a couple up to find them mushy and moldy. Dug the rest and all but one had little roots. It's still on life support but I think I'll have to call the Chaplain soon.

Store owner replied: Hello Dave. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as feedback like this helps us improve our products and planting tips for different planting zones. To help others in a warmer zone, please note that consistently warm soil combined with regular watering in containers can lead to mushy, moldy bulbs. For best success in Zone 10, water sparingly during establishment, and place containers where they stay cool. Once roots form, they should grow through winter and bloom in early spring. From our follow-up with Customer Service, it looks like we were able to offer a resolution and assist you, and we’re glad we could help. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention!

Nothing came up! Dug down today and some bulbs have rooted but no growth?

Despite protecting these bulbs with a protective mesh to keep the critters from finding them, not a one of them spouted.

I planted the 20 anemone blanda bulbs last fall after they arrived in the mail. Now it is the middle of April and not one of them has come up. Very disappointed.

I planted these last year. They finally came up and flowered at the same time as the tulips. So far, I have blues and purples. Very pleased with their vibrancy. They are so cute. These are such happy looking flowers.
