Roses are red, but they aren’t the only flowers worth writing home about. At Eden Brothers, we have well over 100 varieties of annual and perennial flower seeds and bulbs ranging in hue from blush to mahogany, and everything in between.

There’s no doubt about it, red is a captivating color. For human and animal alike. Red can symbolize anything from anger to love, but for pollinators, red seems to signify abundance. Red flowers are the most nectar-rich of all, which is why reds are a favorite among hummingbirds.

Plant your garden in Red Four O' Clocks or Standing Cypess to entice hummingbirds to your garden. Add Burgundy Blanketflower or Scarlet Sage, two North American natives, to your perennial garden. Build out your cutting garden with classic garden workhorses like Brown Sugar Dahlia or Forest Fire Celosia.

There’s a variety here to keep you seeing red from late spring until first frost. Fall-planted bulbs like Ranunculus Red or Red Impression Tulip will start showing color in early spring. Plant Asiatic Lily Starlette bulbs in and Cosmos Versailles Tetra Red for flashy summer color. Bearded Iris Bernice's Legacy and Black-Eyed Susan Autumn Forest provide a refreshing pop of color in early fall. Bring your flower garden indoors in winter by growing Jumbo Velvet Royal Amaryllis in water-filled vases for living floral arrangements.

Whether you buy flower seeds or bulbs–or a combination of both–you can confidently plant either knowing that you have the premium product. We took the Safe Seed Pledge to make a commitment to always provide our customers with the highest quality seeds and bulbs available. At Eden Brothers, we pride ourselves on having the largest selection of rare and unique flower seeds and bulbs around. We believe that diversity is critical to the world’s seed stock, so we strive to seek out heirloom and open-pollinated varieties.

Fall and spring-planted flower bulbs are by far the easiest (and quickest) way to spring and summer flowers. We wait to ship your flower bulbs to you until the appropriate planting time in your growing zone, so you don’t have to wonder and wait. When your bulbs arrive at your doorstep, it’s time to put them in the ground. Plant bulbs in individual holes about three times as deep as the bulb itself, or dig a trench to plant multiple bulbs and revel in the forthcoming swathe of color.

"Most flower seeds can be started indoors for growers wanting to get a jumpstart on the season, but all of these red flower seeds can be sown directly into the garden before or after the last spring frost, depending on the variety. French Marigolds–like the gorgeous Red Cherry—are one of the quickest plants to flower and make an excellent companion plant for vegetables due to their pest-deterrent properties.

If you aren’t already, now is the time to be growing flower bulbs and seeds. Cultivate a pollinator garden and bring beauty to your neighborhood by growing any one of these gorgeous red flowers in your garden. Plant the right combination of flower seeds and bulbs and you’ll have glorious bunches of red flowers all summer long."
