Wow wow wow! These are incredibly vibrant. The blooms in the mix have been so much brighter and more colorful than I expected and I get so many compliments! I started these indoors (I'm in zone 10)

I’m very disappointed with these Zinnias. The blooms are very small, there’s no variety, and they don’t look like the pictures that are advertised! I will not purchase these ever again.

Zinnia Seeds - Cupcakes Pink Mix
Store owner replied: Hello TARA. Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that your Cupcake Mix zinnias did not produce the large, varied blooms you were expecting. We understand how disappointing that is. Cupcake Mix zinnias and other double or scabiosa-flowered varieties can display natural genetic variation, so some plants may produce fuller blooms while others are more single or semi-double. The flower form can also continue to develop as the plants mature, and pinching the first few blooms may encourage improved flowering later in the season. That said, we recognize your experience did not meet expectations. We are glad we had the opportunity to provide a resolution. We've also shared your feedback with our supplier as we continue working together to improve the consistency of this variety. We especially appreciate hearing that you've had success with other Eden Brothers seeds, when we reached out, and we're grateful you took the time to bring this to our attention. At Eden Brothers, we stand behind our products and value feedback like yours as it helps us continue improving the quality of the products we offer!
The ones that have grown and bloomed are small (think 1 inch diameter), single layer petals, no cupcakes. Last year, I grew much prettier, layered zinnias from a hardware store seed packet that was a 1/3 of the price.

Zinnia Seeds - Cupcakes Pink Mix
Store owner replied: Hello Tinlizans. Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that your Cupcake Zinnias did not produce the full, layered blooms you were expecting. Cupcake Zinnias are an open-pollinated novelty variety prized for their unique "cupcake" or scabiosa-style blooms. Because of their genetics, it's normal for some plants to produce single or semi-double flowers alongside the fully double blooms. Environmental conditions can also influence bloom form, and many plants produce more fully developed flowers as the season progresses. We reached out by email but haven't heard back yet. We'd still be happy to help, so please reply to our original email if you're interested in discussing the resolution options available to you. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as customer feedback helps us continue monitoring product quality and improving the products we offer!
Not sure what people are talking about because these little seeds were magic in my garden and made stunning bouquets! I planted them on July 14 to honor my mom who passed on that day and they did not disappoint!!!!
Deb E. 5/5 Verified
These were true to the photo, great germination and growth, BUT! The birds LOVED them. I was unable to harvest more than 2 for a bouquet because I believe the birds may have been confusing them for coneflowers? Or something else! The bottom 2 zinnia in the photo were from this packet. Every time I would check the garden, I found this patch of zinnia eaten up! I grow many zinnias, and these just had very heavy pressure. I will try again and put cloth pouches over them to protect.
Good C. 5/5 Verified
I was so confused as to where my cupcake variety went in my garden and I realized it was these random looking zinnias with the tiniest leaves (no double petals) and the center is so big with sparse leaves. I left them for a few months to see if they need time to mature and grow into themselves and nothing, I ended up pulling them cause they were actually making my garden look sad and just taking up space lol a little

Store owner replied: Hello Anne. Thank you for sharing your experience with Eden Brothers, as we truly value your feedback. Bloom variation is a known characteristic of this variety, with some flowers developing into full, lush blooms and others appearing more single or semi-double. Sowing more seeds and thinning thoughtfully can help encourage a fuller overall display. We're happy to hear our Customer Service Team could offer you a resolution, and while we understand that waiting for results can be frustrating, these unique blooms often prove worth the patience. Store owner replied: Hello Jo. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, as it helps us improve and refine our offerings. This variety can naturally show some variability, with certain plants producing the fuller blooms while others may lean more single or semi-double. Sowing generously and thinning thoughtfully can help achieve a better overall display. We’re glad our Customer Service Team was able to assist you, and we understand the disappointment when results don’t match expectations right away. We continue to work closely with our growers to improve consistency and results. Thank you for reaching out to us about this!
These are so beautiful and I got so many flowers that keep blooming! Would definitely buy again.

I spent $7 on this very small package of seeds. As a market farmer doing specialty bouquets, the gorgeous pictures got me excited about adding this beauty as one of my new signature flowers. I somehow missed the word “single” petal in the description and all I got was two shades of single pink flowers. Very disappointing. At the very least the single variance should have been shown but my vote is to remove this offering from the website.

Like other reviewers, was not as advertised. Only got a single row of petals, not the feathering as shown. Germination was only okay. Save your money.

While we’re glad a refund was provided, your feedback is incredibly helpful as we work to improve. We’re currently reviewing this variety with our growers to better understand the performance of cupcake/scabiosa-form blooms. We apologize for any disappointment and appreciate your patience as we strive to ensure our products match what’s represented!
I was so excited to grow these beautiful flowers and anxiously waited all summer for them to bloom. What an absolute disappointment. They are all regular, single row pink zinnias. None have multiple rows of petals, fluffy centers, no cupcake, not a single thing other than basic plain zinnias. I planted an entire section in my cute bed with these and am now so sad I didn't just plant regular zinnias from Menards because at least those have decent looking blooms, these leave a lot to be desired on size and quality. Definitely nothing even close to what is shown on the website.

Store owner replied: Hello Jay. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers. We are truly sorry to hear the results didn’t match your expectations! The Cupcake Zinnia mix, which includes scabiosa-type blooms, can be unpredictable due to natural genetic variation, even under ideal conditions. While some gardeners do see those full, frilly blooms pictured, others may get a mix of single or semi-double forms, especially if weather or soil conditions aren’t ideal. We completely understand your disappointment, especially after dedicating space and care to growing them. Thanks again for taking the time to connect with us, and we wish you a wonderful and successful growing season!

Store owner replied: Hello Jasmin. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! Zinnias like the 'Zinderella' series can be stunning but don’t always produce double or scabiosa blooms consistently, and only a small portion do, even in ideal conditions. Cooler temps, direct sowing, and proper care can improve results, but some variation is natural. We are in talks with our growers about this as well. After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to assist you with this. We appreciate you sharing your experience and hope your garden brings you lots of beauty this season!
Stop breaking zinnia lover’s hearts by selling these. They are pink but otherwise look nothing like your pictures. I’d like my $7 back.

Store owner replied: Hello Peg. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! Double and scabiosa-form zinnias, like the 'Zinderella' series, are beautiful but can be unpredictable, with only a small percentage produce the full, frilly blooms. Cooler weather and direct sowing often help, while heat and stress may lead to more single forms. With the right care your chances improve over time. After checking in with our Customer Service Team, it looks like we were able to assist you further. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts with us and hope you have a beautiful growing season!
I was so very excited to see my zinnias bloom. I planted them along the street by my mailbox for all my neighbors to see……Unfortunately they look nothing like they are supposed to—very very tiny. So disappointing.

Double and scabiosa-form zinnias, like the 'Zinderella' series, are beautiful but can be unpredictable, with only a small percentage show the full form, especially in warm or humid climates. Cooler temps, direct sowing, consistent care, and early planting can improve your results. We are sorry you had this experience, but we’re glad our Customer Service Team was able to assist and get things sorted out. We appreciate your feedback and wish you a wonderful growing season!
Not as pictured. Only thing true to description was height and color. They are not double nor shape. started seeds indoors April 26th and made excuses for their performance then saw that so many of us had the same poor experience. Will be calling customer service.

Zinnia Seeds - Cupcakes Pink Mix
Store owner replied: Hello Lilly. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us at Eden Brothers. We completely understand your frustration, and we’re sorry for the disappointment. Zinnia 'Cupcake Mix', like other double or scabiosa-form varieties, can be a bit unpredictable due to their complex genetics. Some plants will produce the full, frilly blooms we all hope for, while others may show more single or semi-double flowers. Growing a larger batch and thinning selectively can help improve the odds of getting those standout blooms. These unique zinnias often take a little patience, but we know it can be discouraging when they initially resemble standard types. After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to help you. Your feedback helps us improve, and we truly appreciate you giving us the chance to do better. We value your support and hope you have a beautiful growing season!
Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to spend weeks nuturing seeds indoors for weeks, hardening them off, then more time in the garden only to find out they are the exact same boring zinnias you find at any grocery store. This is the THIRD time eden brothers has sent me seeds or bulbs that grew into an entirely different plant than advertised. At this point it's not just a simple mistake. It's false advertisement and you've lost a customer for life.

Store owner replied: Hello Nat. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us at Eden Brothers. We do understand and apologize with your frustration! Zinnia 'Cupcake Mix' and double/scabiosa-form varieties can be tricky because they have inconsistent genetics. Some plants produce full, double blooms, while others may be more single or semi-double. Achieving the desired flower forms often requires selective thinning and growing larger batches to increase your chances of getting those showy blooms. Patience pays off with these unique varieties, but we know it can be disappointing when they first start to come up like standard zinnias!
Like others said, I should have read the reviews first. I was so excited to finally plant these and it’s not as the picture or details describe. Very pretty pink color, but a very average size. I too only had a handful successfully germinate. I had originally planned to thin them out. I will definitely be checking the reviews next time. I’ll say this, I’ll definitely come back to change my review if I’m speaking too soon. I’m in the northeast so I expected these to bloom as described.

They germinated easily enough, but I’ve had a few bloom so far and they’re single petaled, hot pink—not like the picture at all really. I’m hoping it’s just the first blooms and after a little more heat they’ll grow more like the photo. Or maybe if I give them more time, they’ll continue to layer petals. If they do, I’ll definitely come back and change my review.

Store owner replied: Hello Jeanett. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out about your experience. It’s great to hear that you prefer to wait a bit to see how they continue to do. Weather plays a significant role in determining your success with cupcake forms. If this variety does not produce well for you, reach back out to us and we’ll be happy to work on a means of resolution with you. Thanks for reaching out!

For Christmas I asked my husband for about 20 different zinnia varieties from Eden Brothers. I have 2 large plots (tractor tilling) and had many pink varieties I'd saved seeds of over the years so I wanted some newbies. Cupcake was the one I was most excited for, and was completely disappointed. I had 1 bloom, it was tiny, faint colored and a very whispy stem. I've attached a video and a pic. The white variety (cant remember if its Polar Bear or Liliput White is hardy and reliable. The boldness of the Scarlet Flame, Orange King and Cherry Queen were stunning. Oklahoma Salmon is a nice soft peach. I "think" one or 2 stems might be my Queen Lime, which was I excited about, but so far its hard to tell if I got any of those b/c the color is questionable.

My husband built me raised garden boxes for Mother’s Day this year and I have been so excited to have flowers. My tween girls helped me pick out what seeds and we were all super disappointed when are zinnias started blooming. Nothing remotely resembling tbe picture, not even a pretty flower, barely pink, and one layer. I didn’t think I needed to read the reviews on seeds. That’s my bad being new at this. I wish I had read the reviews on these before I bought them. I currently have about 15 plants blooming from this batch of seeds. The blossoms are indeed various shades of pink, but the petals are on the much sparser side, the teeniest zinnias I have ever grown, honestly. I was expecting a lot more robust blooms than this. Ah well. Something to keep in mind for the future when I buy seeds!

Store owner replied: Hello Andy. Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your Cupcake Pink Mix zinnias didn't produce the full, fluffy blooms you were expecting. We understand how disappointing that is when you've chosen a variety for its unique flower form. Cupcake Mix zinnias are known for some natural genetic variation, so while many plants produce the distinctive double, scabiosa-style blooms, others may develop more single or semi-double flowers. Growing a larger planting and selecting the fullest blooms can often improve the overall display. We also appreciate feedback like yours, as it helps us continue working with our supplier to better understand and improve the consistency of this variety. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns and make things right. We truly appreciate your feedback and your support of Eden Brothers!

Zinnia Seeds - Cupcakes Pink Mix
Store owner replied: Hello Kimberly Adair. Thank you for taking the time to post for us. We are sorry to hear that your Cupcakes Pink Mix did not produce the blooms you were expecting, and we understand the disappointment. Cupcake-type zinnias are known for their unique flower form, but they also show considerable natural variation. Some plants will produce the fuller, tufted blooms shown in photos, while others may develop more single or semi-double flowers. Environmental conditions can also influence bloom form, with hotter temperatures and higher humidity often resulting in a greater percentage of single blooms. We have been working with our seed suppliers on this issue as well and learning more about these types. We previously reached out with this additional information and offered a resolution but have not yet heard back. If you'd still like assistance, please reply to that email and we'd be happy to help. We’re sorry to hear that this variety did not meet your expectations, as we understand how disappointing that can be. Double and scabiosa-form zinnias like the Cupcakes series can sometimes show variability, with a mix of bloom forms ranging from single to fully double, especially in certain growing conditions.
