The ones that bloomed are lovely but many didn’t come up or came up weak. I’ve been growing zinnias for many years and these didn’t win any hearts this season. Pictured are reds which seems to be dominant in the pack.
Store owner replied:
Hello Deb Elle. We appreciate you sharing both sides of your experience with the Benary’s Giant Mix, as the blooms that succeeded were lovely, but we understand why the overall performance was disappointing. Benary’s Giants are generally vigorous zinnias, and seeds typically germinate readily in warm soil with shallow planting and consistent moisture, although weather, excess moisture, or drying during germination can affect emergence and early seedling strength. Color distribution can also vary naturally within a mix, but we understand the disappointment when one color appears to dominate the planting. We’ve included this variety in the resolution set up for you and appreciate the detailed feedback about both germination and color balance. We hope your next planting brings you the strong plants and broad mix of beautiful Benary’s Giant colors you were looking forward to!
These have become the focal point of my garden! They have had huge beautiful, full blooms and I’ve had a variety of colors. Love these and will be buying again!
I planted at least 40 seeds in this seed packet and only one has grown past a few inches tall. It’s August 10 and still has not bloomed. Would not buy again.

Hello KARINA L. Thank you for writing in and bringing this to our attention, so our Quality Control team can look into it further. We're sorry to hear that none of your zinnia seeds germinated. We understand how disappointing that is, especially since you've had such good success with Eden Brothers zinnias in the past. Zinnias are typically quick and reliable to germinate when planted in warm soil with consistent moisture, so your experience is certainly not what we would expect. We reached out by email but haven't heard back from you. We'd still love the opportunity to help, so please reply to our original email if you'd like to discuss the resolution options available. We stand behind our products and hope to help you enjoy the same beautiful results you've come to expect from our zinnias!
Only a few sprouted. Planted late spring zone 5. Waiting on them to bloom- no buds yet.
Store owner replied:
Hello Tinygarden. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear that only a few of your zinnia seeds germinated and that you're still waiting for blooms. Since your seeds were planted in late spring in Zone 5, there is still time for the surviving plants to produce beautiful flowers. Zinnias thrive in full sun and warm weather, and they often begin blooming about 60–90 days after planting, depending on the variety and growing conditions. Consistent watering during establishment and regular dead-heading once flowering begins can also encourage continued blooms throughout the season. We are glad we had the opportunity to assist you as we want every customer to be happy and successful in their garden. At Eden Brothers, we stand behind our products and hope your remaining plants reward you with a beautiful display in the weeks ahead!
These were easy to grow and are beautiful! Blooms are full, vibrantly colored and big! Very happy with them! There was also an extra color that was not on the photo. Maybe it was a accident, but they are beautiful!!
It's Oct 27 and looking out my window, I see Zinnia Benarys blooming around my yard in multiple colors. I planted them late spring, they started blooming in maybe August. Now they have hit their stride, branching out with multiple blooms per stem. I'm in Zone 10A and it is still warm here (mid-60s to low 70s), probably for another week or two. They are tallest in full sun, but I have a few in part shade that are a bit shorter (maybe 3'), and just starting to open.
They seem easy to grow, but the reason for a low review, is that it says there are 50 seeds. The two packets that I opened so far only have 25 and 30 seeds, way short on what they say.
