Customer photo review of Zinnia Seeds - Scabiosa Flowered Mix

Very disappointed with these zinnias since they produced no Scabiosa pincushion flowers as described. Blossoms were unremarkable.

This is the second scabiosa variety I’ve tried and I am just disappointed! It doesn’t seem that any other buyers have had any luck either. Totally bummed out and will not be buying anymore varieties like this again.

Not one of the plants that is blooming from the seed I purchased is a scabiosa or even double zinnia. I have included a picture and the colors are slightly brighter than they actually are.

Not sure why Eden keeps selling these as crested. Just very small single petaled zinnia.

They look like the cactus zinnia seed mix, flat and many dull colors.

I found these flowers not typical of the ease I have found with growing all other zinnia seeds. I started them indoors only to find they were slow to. Germinate. Once they started to sprout, they wilted and died off. So I took them outside to sow in the beautiful raised planters I prepared where all my zinnias were going to be transplanted to. I did everything to encourage their growth. The plants were carefully pruned to develop strong roots and main stem strength. While they continued to grow tall, the plants never achieved a strong, big stalk. The flowers each plant yielded did not resemble the characteristics of the beautiful flower on the seed packet cover. I will try again in the upcoming 2024 growing season and ensure that the plants receive all the love possible to honor me with the beautiful blooms on the packet cover.

I did not receive the seeds and contacted them and they kindly sent a replacement which I appreciated. However I planted them in great anticipation and when they finally bloomed they were NOT as described but merely small single blooms of pale washed out colors. I did credit a client and loss money because of this. I really do not understand as I ordered in 2022 and the product9 Dahlia) was good, I do not know if a different source for product was used but this year was a complete bomb and waste of garden space with EVERYTHING I ordered from Eden. I did not bother to contact them about this matte, because I was furious really; I am sorry to write this review but people need to know. I wonder if Eden has trial gardens?

These ended up being all orange zinnia and they were not the same bloom type as what I purchased. Really disappointing

Blooms do not match what is advertised at all. 60% germination rate. All the same color.

The zinnias in the picture are nothing like what grew from the seeds provided. The flowers, growing from the seeds are tiny, barely even an inch in diameter. I wish I could provide a picture. Petals are nearly square not filling.

I haven't yet planted them, because I bought them for next planting season. But I love zinnias and I love scabious as. So I'm sure I will love these. I fell in love with the picture and colors. Can't wait until next spring, then I will give you a better review. Thank you. Toni
