    I've grown these plants in the past quite a lot, from other sources and with great results. I ordered 3 from here, and they looked OK upon arrival...or would have, if they'd either arrived 2 months sooner or else been conditioned to sprout much sooner to accommodate our short growing season (zone 5). In my area, colocasia get sprouted indoors well in advance of Memorial Day, which is when annuals get planted in my area due to the short growing season. Giving me colocasias that won't even sprout a single leaf til far later is already a waste of money, but in this case they never really sprouted at all. 2 of 3 poked a little green spike up but never leafed out, the 3rd has exactly 1 leaf...it is now August, and I ordered in April. Truly a complete waste of money.

    I planted these in spring straight into the ground so there's no root barriers, it's now mid July with plenty of sun and rain. The largest one has only one leaf and is barely 10" tall. One bulb did not even sprout. Waste of $70.

    Unfortunately they have been in the ground for 2 months and nothing has come up for any of them. Other elephant ears I purchase are showing great, but nothing for these expensive upright ones unfortunately.

    It was a stretch to pay almost $20 for a single bulb, but I convinced myself it would be worth it. Unfortunately, this bulb has been in the ground for 5 full weeks, and has not begun to surface. What a waste of money, time, and water.
