Customer photo review of Alyssum Seeds - Tiny Tim

I’ve been loving this variety of alyssum. I tried a few different types in hanging baskets, and Tiny Tim is by far my favorite producing a gorgeous cloud-like structure of blooms. (Some of the other varieties I tried were much leggier and unruly looking.) Germination was also quite good and fairly fast.

I sowed the seeds in my tree bed 3 days ago and I already have microsprouts every where! Interestingly enough, I sowed seeds of a different variety of alyssums in another tree beds just a few feet away and so far nothing there, so the “Tiny Tim” variety is very prolific. I’m happy so far, can’t wait to see them continue to quickly progress and bloom.

    Alyssum Seeds - Tiny Tim

After planting more than 20 types of flower seeds in my yard this spring, TINY TIM ALYSSUM was the first to jump out of the ground and then pop out those adorable white flowers! It is a joy to see those little faithful flowers every day as I work on the other, more difficult, plants.I plan to plant many more next spring!

    Alyssum Seeds - Tiny Tim

I planted these on a bare patch by the front walkway that I built up into a small berm. Scattered the minuscule seeds and was skeptical they would take. They exploded after a few weeks. Just keep the soil moist and nature will do the rest. In a few weeks, you'll have delightful little blossoms. Alyssum are supposed to have a sweet honey smell, but I don't get that yet (maybe it's too early?) I hope they keep flowering throughout the summer.

    Alyssum Seeds - Tiny Tim

Reading that one barely needs to do anything to the soil for these little beauties to bloom, I went ahead and laid a thin layer of top soil and put the seeds which are the size of strawberry seeds, in an empty salt shaker and went to town! They are planted under an oranger tree. The seeds sprouted tiny green sprigs within 2 weeks and a month later I have the beginnings of the white flowers. I cant wait for the full sea of white to explode! Seem to be very hardy thus far.
