My sunflowers are growing everybdaybwithbthebtallest being about 8 feet and shortest at 5. Too early for the flower yet but we are enjoying the process.

I have been patiently waiting for the blooms and nothing has happened. Well fertilized soil has produced a lot of vegetation but no flowers.

Store owner replied: Hello Michael B. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Feedback like yours is invaluable, as it helps us continually improve our products and planting instructions. Mammoth Grey-Stripe sunflowers typically take 80–95 days from planting to bloom, and sometimes a delay in flowering can occur if they are receiving too much nitrogen, which promotes leafy growth over blooms. Ensure they’re getting full sun (at least 6–8 hours daily) and avoid additional high-nitrogen fertilizer at this stage. With the right conditions, you should see buds forming soon, followed by their large, iconic blooms. We reached out previously, but wanted to make sure we gave ample opportunity to resolve this issue if it continues. Feel free to reach out by responding to our email to you, or by phone Monday through Friday from 9am - 5pm Eastern time at 855-440-2929. We are here to support you more if needed and hope you start to see those beautiful blooms soon!

These are the most amazing flowers! Very high germination rate and extremely healthy. Neighbors from all over continue to stop by and admire the flowers. Bees, butterflies and even wild parrots feed off of the heads.

    They never grew :(

Store owner replied: Hello Antoinette B. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we are sorry to hear this. June is generally an appropriate time for planting sunflowers in Zone 6, but germination can still be affected by the soil drying out, excessive moisture causing seeds to rot, planting too deeply, heavy rain washing or burying the seeds, or birds and other wildlife finding the seeds. We have also shared your experience with our Quality Control Team for further review. We reached out by email to offer a resolution but haven’t heard back yet. Please reply directly to our original email when you have a chance, as we stand behind our products and want to help you have a successful experience in your garden!

Only a couple of these grew and only 1 bloomed

Store owner replied: Hello Martha A. Thank you for sharing your experience with this variety. We are sorry to hear your sunflowers didn’t germinate as expected. Large sunflower seeds can sometimes be affected by the seedbed drying out during germination, or overly wet conditions causing the seeds to rot. Once growing, plenty of sun, adequate spacing, and consistent moisture will help support strong development. We have passed your experience along to our Quality Control team for further investigation just in case, as we want them to do well for our customers. We reached out by email to offer a resolution but haven’t heard back yet, so please feel free to reply directly to our original email. We stand behind our products and would be happy to help you have success with your next planting!

I purchased a packet of Sunflower Seeds - Mammoth Grey-Stripe seeds from Eden Brothers and planted in Spring 2025. Only one came up, which was very disappointing. I followed planting instructions and placed in full sun area and the one that did come up is very healthy and about 6- 7 feet tall. Just wished more had germinated.

These flowers are so fun to grow! The blooms are a perfect segue into the fall season. They grew beautifully and make our hearts happy to look at them!

For the last number of years, I have bought several hundred lbs. of wildflower seed from American Meadows, and I just assumed that all seeds of this nature would be the same. Obviously, I was wrong. All of the flowers I bought from Eden Brothers (except for plains coreopsis) barely grew. The second most producers were cosmos. I have no sunflowers, and I planted several lbs. of them. My suggestion would be to buy from American Meadows, now that I know the difference. I know I will.

I tried planting an acre of sunflowers for two years and have failed. I know it's me... I was going to try this year again but I don't want to fail and spend another $800 for seeds.

I had never planted sunflowers before June 2017. They averaged a foot of growth per WEEK finally reaching a height of 6 feet ABOVE my 6-foot white fence! Strangers stopped by to take photos. The heads measured up to 18 inches across! After losing one stalk on a windy day we tied the rest to our fence with twine. This year I couldn't find Mammoth Grey so tried another kind. It's so slow growing I've decided to order Mammoth Grey and start over, even though it's mid-June. These were beyond my wildest dreams!

I'm very pleased with my recent purchase of Mammoth Greystripe Sunflower Seeds. Customer service was great when I had to make a change on my order and the seeds arrived in a timely manner. The seeds themselves look beautiful and healthy and I'm very excited about getting them in the ground soon.
