Frequently referred to as azalea snapdragons, Madame Butterfly Red Snapdragons are cherished for their delightful fragrance, rich velvet red hue, and enduring double blossoms. Thanks to their abundant petals, this F1 hybrid poses a challenge for insects to pollinate, resulting in longer-lasting blooms in vases compared to single-flowered varieties. The double petals of Madame Butterfly create lush, fluffy blossoms reminiscent of a Victorian aesthetic.

Customer photo review of Snapdragon Seeds - Madame Butterfly Red

Definitely received the wrong seeds. All the other seeds I purchased, all from Eden Brothers, were apricot/orange. This one came up single and purple/pink. Unfortunately, I mixed it with my other snap dragon starts so now, when I collect seeds, I will have an unwanted variety. Wish I had just pulled them. Wouldn’t order again

Customer photo review of Snapdragon Seeds - Madame Butterfly Red

I had excellent germination (started indoors in early February for zone 6a and got over 90% germination), but unfortunately, I had a problem with my grow lights and had very few plants grow after. I did have a few that I could transfer out to the garden, and of those, 2 survived and are doing beautifully now. This is the most beautiful snapdragon I have ever grown, and I absolutely love the dep red color. They look amazing next to my zinnias, dahlias, and cosmos (all seeds from Eden brothers). Even with a slow start, I'm thrilled with the plants I did get to grow. I will definitely repurchase this variety next year.

These have been The hardest seeds I’ve tried to grow. They never came up.
