These little guys took a while to bloom. I sewed them back in March and these are them in mid July. They’re gorgeous flowers. The color comes in the longer you leave them. I will say they are a lot smaller than pictured, but I still love them!

I grew these for my wedding and they did not disappoint. I grew some in seed trays, and succession sowed straight into the ground later in April (zone 8b), and they grew fantastic flowers. I noticed the apricot variety tended to be smaller than the white variety. They lasted nearly 2 weeks in a vase. I pinched them when they had a few sets of leaves and they grew super bushy, nice long stems. This is a hidden gem for a cut flower grower.

They germinated really well. The pink color is pretty but not at all like the picture. I ordered them for the color that was displayed. Not an apricot color at all.

I thought these were taking forever to grow and then I looked at them today and realised a flower is forming. This doesn’t look like the picture at all. They look like celosia.

I read the reviews and my plants grew very tall and are blooming after 90 days. I planted in a short pot and wish I placed them in the ground. Issues Rust Fungus appeared on the leaves but I was able to get rid of it. Color is accurate but bloom’s aren’t as large as expected. Pretty flowers that we can cut and mix with our dahlias for a beautiful bouquet. I ordered the smallest 1/4 packet and used all the seeds. I got 60 or more plants blooming in 6 pots.

I bought several packs of these seeds to experiment with germination rate, growth and bloom here in Georgia 8b. I am not experienced with seeds and have had many years of failure. These were a complete and utter success so far. I have found they a they prefer garden soil in pots. They like shade after 1-2pm in my zone. I had better germination rate when it was warmer. So later sowings produced more than earlier sowings. I used superthive almost daily to keep them happy as seedlings both when I watered them and as a foliar spray. I have been using weak fish emulsion on my older plants. My first succession sowed mid April is starting to bloom and THEY. ARE. AMAZING.

I bought these last year thinking these would be the staple in my urns, only managed to grow about 4, however by grow I mean they where only about 3 or 4 inches tall with 3 leaves for months. Eventually 2 of them died. I started them in nursery pots eventually transplanting 4 into a large pot, they aren't that close together, compared to everything else I planted with awesome success, expecting to grow a few together for a show. Here’s what I got, sadly. Again everything else I ordered grew really well! Probably poor seeds?

Ours only grew maybe 2-3 inches tall. Was really disappointed since this was one of the plants I looked forward to the most.

I bought these in both apricot and white. I was so excited to try these. Out of an entire seed packet I got 6 sprouts in the apricot color and zero sprouts in the white. These were planted in freshly prepped 22 inch planter and a raised bed respectively. Both had new dirt and compost and have good sun exposure, are well draining and were properly watered. I’m doing my best today encourage my seedlings but like others are saying, these seeds have poor germination.

I started these seeds indoors, and they aren’t doing well like the rest of my seeds. The rest of my seedlings are doing great, so I’m really disappointed in these because I was super excited to grow them.

Store owner replied: Hello cwagz. Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear these seeds did not perform as well as your others. Even under the same conditions, some varieties can be a bit more sensitive during early growth and may require slightly different light, moisture, or temperature balance.
The ones I grew from seed never got a long stem. The flowers heads never got bigger than a quarter. Willing to try again this year with the leftover seeds

I was going to say nothing came up…zero. Then I saw the other review of someone who said a celosia came up - and I have been wondering why this single sad celosia has popped up in my plantings. Did I get old, mislabeled seeds?

I bought aster and stock seeds and both FINALLY sprouted. They grew to be about an inch tall… but it’s been about 6 weeks now and they haven’t grown or changed, so I’m afraid this is it. I bought all my other seeds locally and they have done great!! So disappointed.

Unfortunately I would not recommend getting this product. My flowers never bloomed, all of them where duds.

I got 0 out of the labour I put in. I’ve planted much this summer, and everything else is doing brilliant, but not so much as 1 seed sprouted from this bunch. So my conclusion is the plant needs to try harder next time! I planted directly into a fresh flower bed and sowed very lightly.

These had excellent germination rate for me. No flowers yet… but I might not get there as the deer have decided they love to eat them, even though this is listed as deer resistant. Just in case anyone was hoping for a resistant plant, this doesn’t seem to be the case for me!

I always start my seeds indoors because if I plant them outside they don't do well. There are too many things that can go wrong. I am still getting them planted outside but every one of mine germinated and are gorgeous. Blooming in the house. I am going outside right now to get more in the ground.

I planted these seeds directly into my flower beds on April 1st in zone 7 and while they did take some time to finally bloom (4 months) they are stunning. The flowers last a long time, whether they are cut and put in a vase or kept untouched in your garden.

I grew these from seed this year and they might be my new favorite cut flower. Just make sure to fence them in until they grow large if you have bunnies in your area.
