Just as I imagined a beautiful garden with a variety of flowers little work and a promise of a repeat next year!!

Customer photo review of Northeast Wildflower Seed Mix

I planted this packet in the spring and the only flowers that grew from it were pink invasive cosmos. They took over 95% of the yard and wiped out any other flower that could have grown, both seeds from the packet and other flowers I planted, and they aren’t even native to Northeast PA (they are from Mexico). They should NOT be in this seed packet. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because at least *something* grew from it and fed the pollinators.

Store owner replied: Hello Brittany. Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience. We're sorry the cosmos overtook your planting area. While they are included in the Northeast Wildflower Mix for their pollinator benefits, we understand your concern. This mix isn’t fully native, and contents are listed on the product page for reference. In smaller or overseeded areas, fast-growing varieties like cosmos can sometimes dominate. We did reach out by email, but please feel free to contact us at 855-440-2929 (M–F, 9am–5pm ET) or service@edenbrothers.com, as we’d be happy to help further.

The success rate is nearly 100%! So many beautiful flowers this summer and spring and they came up so fast! Will definitely be ordering again.

    Northeast Wildflower Seed Mix

I cannot believe I even let myself buy and plant this seed mix! Typically I am more carefull but for some reason I let my guard down and accidentally gave my money to this sorry excuse for a company. Nice job getting away with it with the disclamer that some of it may be invasive in some areas of the northeast. The truer statement is that half this stuff is invasive across the whole United States. Seriously do not give your money to this unethical kniving money-hungry company and please, CHECK YOUR SEED MIXES!!!

    Northeast Wildflower Seed Mix

I was sure the back yard would be covered in blooming flowers this late summer because I planted in March when I received the two batches of seeds. Sadly, nothing. Also, I ordered Dahlias from you in the same order and they didn't do too well either. Where did I go wrong or are these seeds not productive? I want to try again with the wildflowers and plant this fall, but I'm skeptical.

Purchased 1/4 lb and planted according to directions. Almost 3 months now and not 1 flower. All I have are a few leafy stems and only a handfull of those. I live in PA. Considering how much of this mix is annual, I should have better results this first summer. Please advise.

Planted 1/4 lb of these seeds almost 3 months ago in Spring. I have only a few leafy stems and no flowers. I live in PA and am an experienced gardener. Please advise.

    Northeast Wildflower Seed Mix

These flowers came up and look EXACTLY like the picture. Full disclosure: we have tractors and plows and a broadcast seeder so that made the results dramatic as we planted 1 to 1 1/2 acres in wildflowers. I can’t get a picture that conveys just how beautiful the flowers are but trust me we’re doing it again next year. I have seen every different flower contained in the mix blooming. I have a lot of luck - with zero effort - direct sowing all wild flower seeds from this company. The mix seeds were babied a bit since we used sand to beef up the volume for broadcasting. We also used a small bit of custom fertilizer that has been recommended for our hay fields but I’m not sure it was necessary. In fact I think it may have encouraged a bit too much grass to grow. I usually just throw Eden Bros seeds out like chicken feed in the Fall and lightly cover them with a thin layer of dirt or mulch and always get blooms the next spring/summer. Regardless, super satisfied with this mix and we planted it around Memorial Day. Now it’s July 21 and I think we’re at peak bloom. Really beautiful!!!

These plants are non-native and some are invasive

Store owner replied: Hello Gardener John. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We greatly appreciate you sharing your feedback, so we can better meet the needs of our customers. While most of our customers love the ease of this mix, which is known to grow well in the Northeast, we understand your frustration and feedback. Please know, we as a company are working on sourcing more native mixes. We do list all of the contents of our mixes, and we recommend each customer check in with their local agricultural office to check for anything invasive in each area. That said, we wish for all customers to be satisfied with their purchase. We reached out previously, but wanted to make sure we gave ample opportunity to resolve this issue. Feel free to reach out by phone Monday through Friday from 9am - 5pm Eastern time at 855-440-2929 or by email at service@edenbrothers.com. We'd love to hear from you!

I just started planting this, but am now sorry about it and hope it doesn't do well. It's my own fault, I didn't read the description and when I saw north east, I assumed it was native flowers. It's not only not native, it's full of invasive species. This is totally my own fault, they have a warning about this right in the description that I just didn't notice. It wasn't just a waste of money, I am bummed to have introduced corn flowers and other invasives onto my property. I am part of the problem, and it was my own negligence. But if you know something is invasive in the north east, why put it in a wildflower mix? It seems like a disservice to nature and I'm disappointed someone even created this mix.

Almost half of what is said to be in the seed mix grew and flower this year. Most seem to be annual I hope They at least re seed. But this mix is better than what you find at Lowe’s and Home Depot anyway.

I purchased the northeaster wildflower mix and have had zero germination in a clean sunny bed. I’ve had bad seeds but rarely a complete failure to germinate.

First and foremost I have to say that the Eden Brothers personnel were excellent to work with. They could not have been more helpful and they clearly not only know plants and growing them, they delight in helping others. The flowers were amazing, and I intend to purchase more seeds next year if I am still at my current residence, Where ever I end up I will use them for all my seeds. Their advice to a rank amateur lie me made me look like an expert, I can't recumbent this seed mix or this company highly enough.

    Northeast Wildflower Seed Mix

I’ve spread many wildflower seeds from the big box stores with no success. While these seeds are more expensive, I cannot believe the amount of blooms I have in a few short months! We tiled a bank that was difficult to mow and spread the seeds in May. This has turned an ugly section of the property to a stunning focal point! We’re already planning on making new wild flower beds for next year throughout the property.

    Northeast Wildflower Seed Mix

Lots of wildflowers popping up from this mix! At the moment I have tons of cornflowers blooming and they are gorgeous. All different colors and so bright and pretty!

    Northeast Wildflower Seed Mix

I bet you won’t publish this but you should be ashamed of yourselves. This wildflower mix is FULL of non-native and even invasive species. Half of them don’t even grow in the northeast. If you won’t provide a quality product, why have a business at all? We have a lack of native biodiversity that I’m trying to alleviate by planting a pollinator garden and then I unwittingly buy this mix that I’ll have to rip up as they grow and I find the invasives. People on TikTok are warning about this company so your lazy practices will come to light.

I was very skeptical but after only 1 week I started seeing little sprouts popping up! We're about a month and a half in and I have light pink, fuscia and white flowers. I am so excited about my wildflower garden. I also ordered the Pollinator Mix and can't wait to see what all I get. Thanks for a great product!

    Northeast Wildflower Seed Mix

I have tried wildflower seeds before without success, however these are spectacular. I covered a sandy hillside with them and boy did they grow. Now my ugly hill of dirt and weeds is beautiful.

    Northeast Wildflower Seed Mix

BEE's!! We had a late snow; so my seeds got planted late. I got 5 pounds and have sprouts in the all four beds. Getting soil ready in to do a few more beds.

    Northeast Wildflower Seed Mix

Wonderful experience. Look forward to ordering again from Eden brothers. Informed staff and instant shipping. Felt I had seeds at my door before I hung phone up. Glad I have discovered you!
