I was excited to grow this heirloom. I have plenty of foliage but no blooms. I have even fertilized with Alaska fish fertilizer.

    Nasturtium Seeds - Vesuvius

Store owner replied: Hello Agardener. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to hear that your Vesuvius Nasturtiums produced plenty of healthy foliage but no blooms. When nasturtiums produce lush, vigorous foliage but fail to flower, it's often an indication that growing conditions are encouraging leaf growth rather than blooms. A fertilizer high in nitrogen, including fish fertilizer, can promote abundant foliage at the expense of flowering. Switching to a fertilizer higher in phosphorus, often labeled as a bloom booster or bloom enhancer, may help encourage flowering. Nasturtiums also tend to bloom best in full sun and soils that are not overly rich. We reached out by email but haven't heard back from you. We'd still be happy to help troubleshoot your growing conditions and discuss the resolution options available. Please reply to our original email if you're interested in continuing the conversation. We stand behind our products and would appreciate the opportunity to help you enjoy a more successful growing season!

I’m a fan. But I do love some salmon color and these (3rd season) have shifted to a maybe pale sherbet to a warm-butter-yellow sort of thing w little more orange leaning values veining in - when they first open. As long as that works for you - get ‘em. They smell lovely - so I am embracing the color change :-)

Sowed per directions. Tried it several times and not a single seed germinated! Waste of money and time.
