Plants grow fine BUT they have neon yellow flowers, not the pale yellow color as advertised. I wonder if there are off-types in this years batch of seeds. I would like a refund if possible.

Store owner replied: Hello Taylor. Thank you for sharing your experience with this variety. We’re sorry to hear the blooms were bright yellow rather than the creamy pale yellow tones shown and described for this variety. While some color variation can occur due to environmental conditions, consistently bright yellow flowers are not typical of Moonlight. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and are glad we were able to provide a resolution that met your needs. Our on-staff horticulturist is actively addressing this issue with our seed supplier to better understand what may have occurred and help prevent similar experiences in the future. We truly appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to make things right!
The germination rate was good but I am so disappointed in that the color was a regular yellow. I bought two packets and shared the link with so many friends and they weren’t what they said they were.

I don’t know if this was a problem that came with the seeds of if they just attract it, but like another said they are infested with spider mites. They started with these marigolds and spread to my tomatoes that i planted them near :(

African Marigold Seeds - Moonlight
Store owner replied: Hello Roxi Olivas. Thank you for your feedback for us at Eden Brothers! We’re truly sorry to hear about the trouble with spider mites. While marigolds are often grown for their pest-repelling qualities, they can sometimes attract spider mites, especially in hot, dry conditions. These pests can spread quickly to nearby plants, including tomatoes, which makes early detection and prevention so important. From our follow-up with Customer Service, it looks like we were able to assist you, and we’re glad we could help. We understand how frustrating this experience must have been and appreciate you sharing it!
These are bright yellow and were no taller than 8”. The last straw was the fact that the spider mites loved them! I cut them out. Luckily the stuff I had planted nearby was resistant.

Disappointed. Seeds germinated well and grew large healthy plants but flowers were definitely BRIGHT lemon yellow. Not pale yellow or off-white as shown in their pictures. Eden Brothers should correct this issue of either mis-packaged /mis-labeled seeds and or false advertising.

Like everyone else reviewing, I was given the wrong color. I was SO looking forward to these pale/off-white flowers and instead got BRIGHT yellow, just like the pictures shown by other reviewers. The flowers themselves are gorgeous, however, very disappointed that I was given what looks to be the 'Mary Helen' African marigold instead. I will order them from somewhere else next year.

This is the first time I've tried marigolds from seed. I had excellent germination rates -- nearly everything I planted came up -- and they are so fun and tall! However, the color is not the pale yellow pictured. This doesn't entirely bother me as I'm just pleased to have had such good luck and I like the way they look overall, but I had originally chosen to purchase them among other options for their advertised lighter color.

This is a regular bright yellow marigold. I ordered an ivory colored version which was advertised. I planned a garden around the color being as advertised. What a disappointment. And a disservice to customers by false advertising. I wouldn’t recommend.

great marigold. they start slow and small compared to many other marigold. the seed is also smaller than most french marigold, and this is helpful if you are planting in 200 ct plug trays (the seed fits better). at 3 months they are 20 inches tall, very vertical. blooms are spectacular, large, medium yellow, long lasting. i planted rather close together after seeing how vertical they are. i will add this to my staple list of marigolds for every year. i have been looking for a lower cost african type since the new cultivars are rather pricey. one ounce of seed provided 1500 plants without being conservative on seed. i use sungro mix, and cover with vermiculite. now, if eden brothers can find a blood red moonlight orange african to match this yellow that would be a dynamite combo.

These are just not great at germinating - tried half of the packet as starts indoors and planted half direct seed outdoors. I have about 12 small seedlings from direct seed and two from the indoor starts. Either a bad batch or just not a viable cultivar - I have not had this issue with other marigolds.

These are bright yellow not pale yellow or off white as advertised. You have reviews from a year ago with the same complaint. Just a suggestion…….correct the problem, correct your advertising or just remove the product from your inventory. Very frustrating

African Marigold Seeds - Moonlight
Store owner replied: Hello Vero. We’re sorry to hear your marigold seeds did not germinate as expected. Marigolds are typically reliable growers, but consistent warmth, even moisture, and proper planting depth can all impact success. Planting too deeply or allowing the soil to dry out during germination can sometimes reduce results. We understand how disappointing that can be. We’re glad we were able to connect and offer a resolution, and please know we stand behind the quality of our seeds and are committed to working with you to achieve the strong, healthy growth you should expect from us!
Easy to germinate, solid plant, but definitely NOT pale yellow as advertised.

Disappointed with the color these flowers actually are. They are definitely a bright yellow, not even a pale yellow or off white as pictured. They were very easy to grow, but I was really hoping for the pale yellow.

These are great marigolds, germinated very well. Nice sturdy plants. I own a small nursery and was hoping to have pale yellow almost white marigolds for a custom order and to sell but these are almost neon yellow/green.

This was my first year growing plants by seeds. I started several of these marigolds seeds and planted various places in my yard. Some did better than others, but I'd blame the location not the plant. They grew great, I started them in April inside. It is mid October and they are still blooming, starting to look tired. The tallest plants got to 2' probably. Rabbits did eat a few down to the ground when they were first planted outside. Some came back from that. They still seemed pretty yellow to me and I was hoping for a whiter color. Oddly the plants that came back from the rabbit pruning seemed to have slightly lighter flowers.
