Customer photo review of Zinnia Seeds - Miss Willmott

Disappointed in these zinnia seeds. They were supposed to be pink, but came out more red. These don’t go at all with the colors in my garden, so I will be ripping them all out. Waste of time and money.

Store owner replied: Hello Ashley. Thank you for taking the time to send us in this review. We are sorry to hear that this variety did not bloom the color we both were expecting! We understand how disappointing it can be when a variety doesn't fit the color scheme you've carefully planned for your garden. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We have shared your feedback with our seed supplier and packing team so that the matter can be reviewed further. We previously reached out and offered a resolution but have not yet heard back. If you'd still like assistance, please reply to that email and we'd be happy to help. At Eden Brothers, we stand behind our products and appreciate the opportunity to make things right!

I was super bummed to look forward to the light pink color promised in these blooms because, every flower was purple when they grew. Definitely not was I expected when I purchased these seeds.

I intermixed Miss Willmott and Luminosa Zinnias since both were presumed to be a soft pink. I am in zone 8b. These germinated beautifully with direct ground sowing and provided a huge amount of flowers for all my pollinators. It has been so much fun watching them enjoy the flowers. I have even enjoyed watching the green lynx spiders staking claims to a flower and hanging on for dear life when the wind blows. Although the flowers are absolutely beautiful, I have only had 5-6 actual soft pink blooms. They range from cream, hot pink, purple, orange, red and speckled. I am not giving 5 stars since they were not the color they were supposed to be. Overall I am satisfied because of their germination rate and plentiful blooms. Blooms range between 2-3.5 inches wide. I have posted photos of them on my Instagram at seeditsowitgrowit .

As with anything I plant I began with fertile ground. My experience with Eden’s Miss Willmott’s has met and exceeded what I expected based on the description. I have been harvesting these zinnias continuously since June and they are still producing as of 10/10. I planted these two different ways in two separate beds. For instance I germinated and transplanted and sowed. Insofar as the bed locations I picked a full 180° southern exposure and a NNE exposure and the results were exceptional. Beginning in July I started a monthly fertilizing regime with a product that provided 3x more phosphorus than nitrogen which I also apply to my dahlia plantings and the result was fantastic. I was able to harvest at least 2 to 3 times per week with plenty of flowers left on the plants for all the pollinators present.

I live in zone 5b and I’m happy that these germinated fast, grew tall and are healthy but they are not the pink color that is shown in pictures. I only like to plant pastel flowers in my gardens so this is not what I thought it should be. But thankfully the good outweigh the bad, but I won’t be buying Ms.Wilmott seeds again.

While these are nice big zinnias, the description is deceptive. The flowers are pink... no variation to lavendar or purple.
