Also known as Creeping Mint, Corsican Mini Mint is an extremely low-growing ground hugger. With each plant spreading to about a foot wide, its rounded, petite leaves evoke the look of Soleirolia soleirolii, Baby Tears. Corsican Mini Mint tolerates full or partial sunlight as long as the soil remains moist, but well-draining. Consider planting Mini Mint between and around stepping stones, where it can tolerate light foot traffic and will emit a wonderful minty aroma when bruised.

I’m so happy that I got to witness the transformation from tiny sprouts into a little green carpet. It took me about a month and a half to grow. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, but it definitely needs more water. At the same time, it doesn’t like overly wet soil. I started mine in small germination trays to avoid overwatering, then transplanted the seedlings into a small pot so I wouldn’t have to water them as often. PS, This is my second patch from a previous purchase. The first patch didn’t survive the indoor heating during the winter because I placed the seedlings a little too close to a heating vent. It’s much easier to grow them in the spring.
Mini mint looks so cute and adorable! Although I didn’t have any experience growing or taking care of them, I wanted to give it a try. I already knew there were only a few seeds, but when I tried to press some of them into the soil, they CRUSHED. Ahhh! I thought either they were moldy or not real seeds. To test this, I moisturized one seed with a drop of water, and it melted into the water. -_- Though I was confused and couldn’t find more information about this, I decided to be extremely careful and gently sowed 12 seeds, feeling doubtful and unsure. Then, just a few days later, some small green leaves appeared scattered in the tray! After about a week, I had 12 baby plants. Technically, that’s a 100% germination rate—even though I threw a few seeds away because of the “crushing” and “melting.” Now, several weeks later, they’re still small but thriving!

Hello Andrea. Thank you for taking time to write us a review. We are sorry to hear that your Corsican Mini Mint seeds did not germinate! Corsican Mint can be more challenging to germinate than many other mint varieties. The tiny seeds need light to germinate and consistent moisture, while factors such as temperature fluctuations, overly wet or dry conditions, or poor seed-to-soil contact can impact success. We are glad we were able to connect with you and provide a resolution and some guidance. Thank you for your feedback, and we wish you continued success in your garden!
I planted half of the seeds (to save some for later) in a pot inside. After watering regularly for about a month I finally decided they were just not going to grow. I tried again with the other half of the seeds and after about 8 or 9 days, I got literally only 3 sprouts that were so tiny you almost can't see them. It was pretty disappointing. Hopefully they spread well!

I was a bit disappointed that there were so few seeds in the packet, but I did get outstanding germination for the ones I got. Looking forward to hopefully establishing a few planters with these.
