As with most lisianthus varieties, germination is always low, through no fault of the seed vendor. If you can be patient enough, Lisianthus is always rewarding. This is my second variety purchased through EB, and somehow more stunning than the first!
Not a single seed germinated. Quite disappointed.

Excelllent germination rate (75%!) from these seeds! I am still a beginner I think, but my heat mat and grow lights made germination a breeze. I am excited to see how well they grow in my garden later this season.
Sadly, none of my Black Pearl seeds germinated! I bought four varieties from Eden Brothers (celeb blue chateau, Rosanne brown, and voyage lavender were the others) and the rest germinated at about a 60-70% rate. I used the same soil and grow methods for all four.

I grew some other lisianthus from seed from the same company and they did great. I didn't have a single one germinate after doing the exact same thing. I wanted these so bad but now its too late to grow. I will try Eden Brothers Lisianthus again because I had success with the other pack.

Well 3 weeks in and everything else germinated but these!!

I garden in a zone 5b. Being the master procrastinator that I am, I started these in March and 2 years too late. Yet, a lot sprouted and these just bloomed for me the first week of August. They are worth the wait!
Not a single one germinated. Very sad this happened. Was looking forward to this beauty in my yard this year.

I bought 4 packs of Lisianthus seeds and not one packet germinated
Disappointed
Got more than 90% germination rate unlike the other seeds.
I purchased three varieties of lisianthus seed and black pearl had the best, almost perfect, germination. Very excited for spring flowers
Scenes came packaged well but unfortunately, I had no germination. I’m not a beginner gardener either. All of my seeds have had pretty successful results this year. Not sure what happened?

I did not have the shopping/packaging problem like the other reviewers. The seeds were coated and inside a small vial in the envelope, but unfortunately, not one of my 25 seeds sprouted :(

Lisianthus seeds arrived crushed. They are very delicate and paper packets don't do enough to protect them! When opened, it was lisianthus seed dust. I would recommend shipping these seeds in more protective packaging.
