Customer photo review of Lily of the Valley Roots

Arrived healthy and new leaves are opening, but I only received one root. I’m honestly really disappointed because I expected two roots. I wanted to transfer them to the ground in a few weeks so they can flower next year.

I planted 4 roots and it seems all of them took. The following year there are so many. I am going to have to divide and spread this fall.

I bought a few of these roots and planted them in partial shade in several areas of the yard in fertilized soil, I watered them. Only one sprouted with any success. Maybe I did something wrong? Not enough sun? Wrong soil? I've had great success with other roots and bulbs from this company.

I ordered three bare roots and was nervous because the package got lost in the mail for a while. But, when they finally showed up, all the roots still looked healthy and ready to go! Sure enough, they’ve all taken well and I’m excited to see the blooms that come in the future.

I received two pips to get started. They have produced two leaves so far. Hopefully they will take off next spring.

    Lily of the Valley Roots

    Planted 3, nothing surfaced.

Learned in time this is high highly invasive. I kept it in a pot instead and got a couple of tiny flowers. But it is still alive, maybe next season it'll grow bigger. It doesn't like full sun, needs shade.

I had both germinate and one produce flowers, and I they were lovely and I am hopeful both will bloom next year.

    Lily of the Valley Roots

I purchased 3 packs of 6, so 18 total. Not one of them surfaced - let alone bloomed over the next two and a half months. I planted late April in zone 9b, it’s now the end of July. I followed the planting guide supplied by Eden Brothers to a “T” because the bulbs aren’t cheap and I wanted to get the most out of them for this season.

I bought two packages of three roots. i actually recieved 8 bulbs (yay) but 5 of them were barely bigger than blades of grass (boo) as predicted none of them were mature enough to produce flower spikes, no blooms whatsoever.
