Customer photo review of Morning Glory Seeds - Knowlians Black

I, too, bought these on the name, thinking the blooms would be black. They are gorgeously purple EXACTLY as photographed. The mistake was mine. They germinated beautifully and they're going strong in my Goth Garden, purple as they are!

They are pretty - but I bought them because they were supposed to be "black" and they aren't. At all.

These grew okay, but as others have said they are not the color of the photo. In fact they look identical to the “grandpa Ott” variety that is sold on this website. All individual plants are producing the same color so it isn’t like I got a few seeds from another type mixed into my packet.

I, too, wish I could post a photo. They were a bit slow to germinate and get going in Colorado, but after the first set of true leaves came out they are climbing super fast! I just had my first blooms on each plant this morning and they are rather shocking blue-violet -- I thought they'd be more of a maroon per the image, but they are like ultramarine with a delicate pink center. I still love them, just unexpected color. Can't wait for the chocolate ones to start blooming!

Bought this a planted under two trelis' in my back yard, Beautiful, I live in cold climate and will have to replant, but these are worth the effort, they were alittle slow starting but have now gone crazy and are going up quickly. I just love these and they have fabulous color, I will be watching to reorder more
