Customer photo review of Hosta Roots - Orange Marmalade

My hosta roots arrived in October in excellent condition, before the Fall rains, so at an excellent time. There were plenty of roots with the ends ready to grow, not broken. So I know they will be off to a great start and have the winter for root growth, which is what plants do. I’m impressed with the condition of the these hostas and look forward to seeing them next year.

    Hosta Roots - Orange Marmalade

Store owner replied: Hello Trying my hardest! Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We greatly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. It's so important to have feedback like this so we can continually improve our products and planting instructions for all the planting zones. It’s generally better to plant hosta roots in spring rather than late fall because hostas need time to establish strong root systems before winter sets in. A spring planting gives them the entire growing season to settle in, build energy, and prepare for dormancy. In your cooler planting zone, After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to assist you with this. Thanks for your time in sharing your experience with us!

I know these like shade, so they are in half and half sun and shade/. They are part of a mix in the pot. I know I will have to graduate them to bigger pots a few time in the next fews and I like having a kinda a long- term relationship with a patio plant.

I ordered this at end of Fall season and received two nice plants, dormant, but still have good healthy roots and nice green growth. I know this will be spectacular next year. Thanks for the good experience.
