Customer photo review of French Marigold Seeds (Double) - Tangerine

I started these in my “basement greenhouse” on March 5 in Zone 7b. Every one I sowed germinated and I had my first bloom on March 28! I moved them outside on April 19 to harden them off, but they didn’t seem to need it, because not one leaf showed signs of wilt or distress. I use a fan in my basement to toughen up seedling stems, but I don’t even think these need it; they’re tough as old boots. Also worth mentioning that I only grew these so my friend’s chickens could eat them. Personally, I LOATHE marigolds. But the color of these is so vibrant and the double flower is so pretty, I actually kept a few back to use them in some planters. I can hardly believe it. So if you hate marigolds like I do/did, this may be the variety that changes your mind!

French Marigold Seeds (Double) - Tangerine

I have never grown marigolds from seed before, but thanks to some encouragement from my partner and my mother I decided to try this year. After some research I opted to direct seed with no pre-germination, which is something I wouldn't normally do. To my surprise pretty much every seed I planted not only sprouted, but grew into a rather large happy plant. My tomatoes are surrounded by these exploding bright orange marigolds, and my garden bed has never been more beautiful. I would absolutely recommend these. They're gorgeous in colour, they are prolific bloomers, and they are already trying to reseed themselves for next year. 10/10, zero notes.

I know we are in a Drought but I've been watering just not getting the blooms I was expecting. I do have this to say though where another reseeded from last year did so much better. Thanks Sammy Chenault

Store owner replied: Hello Sammy C. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We greatly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. It's so important to have feedback like this so we can continually improve our products. Drought and heat can definitely affect blooming, even with regular watering, so we understand your disappointment. Many times the ones that re-seed have adapted to your weather conditions over the last growing season. After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to resolve this for you. Thanks for your time in sharing your experience with us!

These were gorgeous and bloomed prolifically. We started them indoors & planted them in a raised standing 6' long bed. They bloomed until we had several frosts and a couple of hard frosts. Frost was late here in 2022 and they bloomed all through October. .
