Customer photo review of Cosmos Seeds (Dwarf Early) - Sensation Mix

Although, beautiful but definitely not dwarf size which is sad because they blocked the sun from the other flowers. Something between 36" - 48".

Cosmos Seeds (Dwarf Early) - Sensation Mix

Store owner replied: Hello MEChicago. Thank you for sharing your experience. We are glad you found the blooms beautiful, but we understand how disappointing it was for a Dwarf Early Cosmos Mix to shade the flowers planted around it. Cosmos height can vary with growing conditions, and particularly fertile soil, excess nitrogen, crowding, or lower light can sometimes encourage plants to stretch taller than expected. However, when plants consistently grow substantially taller than the expected range for a dwarf variety, especially when other flowers planted at the same time performed normally, we don’t want to assume growing conditions are the only explanation. We’ve shared your feedback with our Quality Control and Packing teams so they can look into the variety and packaging further. We also reached out by email to offer assistance and a resolution but haven’t heard back yet. Please reply to our original email whenever you have a chance; we stand behind our products and our Grow Guarantee and would be happy to help make this right!

They started to germinate and sprout, but then stopped growing and never produced any blooms.

Store owner replied: Hello Kaitlyn. Thank you for your review for Eden Brothers. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. It's so important to have feedback like this so we can continually improve our planting information. Cosmos can become stunted when exposed to prolonged heat stress. While they are warm-season flowers, excessive heat can slow growth, reduce branching, and result in shorter plants with fewer blooms. For better results in hot climates like Zone 9, it’s often best to plant cosmos early in spring or later for fall, so peak blooming happens in more moderate temperatures. After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to assist you with this. Thanks for your time in sharing your experience with us!

Customer photo review of Cosmos Seeds (Dwarf Early) - Sensation Mix

These cosmos have been a delight—-they are prolific bloomers, and the colors are gorgeous. They are, however, quite tall (definitely not dwarf). I’m not sure if that’s a product of the seeds themselves or if I planted the seeds too close together. Regardless, they are lovely. I just wish the deer didn’t enjoy munching them so much (hence the cages).

I agree with the other reviews - what I received was not dwarf! There were also minimal blooms - usually just one at the top of a very tall, leggy plant. Looked nothing like the picture of dwarf, dense plants with numerous blooms. Disappointed.

Store owner replied: Hello STLgarden. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as feedback like this helps us improve our products and planting instructions. They are daylight sensitive. If the seeds are planted too early, the plants get long daylight hours, which keeps them in the vegetative state for too long and makes them grow tall. Planting them later allows them to stay short and also bush out. From our follow-up with Customer Service, it looks like we were able to assist you, and we’re glad we could help you with offering a resolution. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, so we can improve our planting guides!

There might be a mixed up in the seeds sent as my cosmos are definitely not dwarf. They are on average 4-5’ tall, lush leaves but only a few blooms. I kept waiting for them to bloom and it’s now Sept, more than 90 days since seeds were planted? I always love cosmos but not these seeds. I forgot to take photos so might add them if I can get back on this review later.
