Customer photo review of Dahlia Tubers (Ball) - Eveline

I ordered several dahlias from Eden Brothers and they have not disappointed. They are the most beautiful flowers. The Eveline flower is the white one in the middle.

In zone 8A, planted early-mid April, had growth, but no blooms. Was using a 10-10-10 fertilizer.

Store owner replied: Hello KH. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as feedback like this helps us improve our products and planting guides. You did great fertilizing your tubers, but many times as the plants mature, switching to a 5-10-10 or 10-20-20 will encourage blooms. It's recommended to use a fertilizer with a higher middle number (phosphorus), which supports strong root development and abundant blooms as the season progresses. From our follow-up with Customer Service, it looks like we were able to assist you, with a resolution, and we’re glad we could help. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention!

Had beautiful foliage but did not bloom.

    Dahlia Tubers (Ball) - Eveline

Store owner replied: Hello Jean F. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We greatly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. It's so important to have feedback like this so we can continually improve our products. This can happen if they are planted later in the season, or if there is too much nitrogen in your soil. You can help encourage blooms by lightly fertilizing with a fertilizer heavy in phosphorus, which would be called, “bloom enhancer” or “bloom booster” on the bottle. This will help bring more phosphorus into the soil, as there may be a small deficiency of this nutrient with the current soil. After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to resolve this for you. Thanks for your time in sharing your experience with us!
