So I looked through my past purchases and I was shocked this one was what I was marveling at! It’s not pink for me, but a beautiful gentle peach. The only ones really blooming well are tucked behind the large leaves of the plant. I’m hoping alto get several more blooms before the season is over.
Gotta admit had to re locate this one to a better spot -dahlias need sun and protection- but since has come back stronger. Not even hard rains had affected the huge blooms.
The blooms were absolutely huge and gorgeous! They start off a soft yellow-white and gradually deepen into the prettiest apricot-pink as they fully open. Truly stunning transformation. I have mine planted in Terra Cotta planter pots, and it took a little extra care — fertilizing once a week — to get them blooming, but totally worth it. Such a cheerful addition to the garden!
Tubers came well packaged and very healthy, with clear planting instructions. It took several months to establish but now they are thriving: multiple blooms on each plant and honestly, EB’s pictures do not do it justice. Such a range of depth of color as the Dahlia blooms. Will be curious to see how they winter over in our Southern (South Carolina) climate. I cannot recommend more for a “show-stopper”/ “sidewalk stopper” in your garden!
I have ordered all my dahlias from EB and have great luck. I think out of ordering 40 tuber clusters I've only had one that was not viable. This dahlia is one of my favorites! The pale pink/blush with a creamy center is so precious. I will definitely purchase more (I have a dahlia addiction 🤣).

These are absolutely gorgeous with too many flowers to count!! The flowers are as big as my five year olds head! They look amazing in arrangements!
Love this dahlia! Super strong plants & gorgeous blooms! They are even blooming before other competitors dahlias! I’m a 3rd generation dahlia grower from family of the US’s biggest dahlia grower and have been growing dahlias my entire life - I’m believe this is a creamy white sport of the incredible Gitts perfection aka Sorbet - and im sooo beyond picky because I know what dahlias should be and I can honestly say I’m thrilled with these - I’m in the PNW and it’s was super wet & cold spring and now really hot and they are still just incredible! Highly recommend - I’m already planning next spring’s plantings - my cart is full! Can’t wait!

Hello Deb Elle. Thank you for sharing your review. Break Out is a dinner-plate dahlia and can be a mid to later-season bloomer, so it may take longer to develop flowers than some smaller or earlier dahlia varieties. A small, weak plant with no blooms can result from a late start, insufficient sun, heat stress, inconsistent moisture, or poor drainage, Too much nitrogen can also encourage foliage without flowers. For the best performance, Break Out should receive at least 6–8 hours of sun, consistent deep watering once actively growing, well-draining soil, and fertilizer that isn't overly high in nitrogen. We are glad we were able to provide a resolution and appreciate you sharing your experience with us. For future growers, plenty of sun, well-draining soil, consistent moisture, and avoiding fertilizers high in nitrogen will give these large-flowered dahlias the best opportunity to thrive. We hope the rest of your dahlias continue putting on a beautiful show, and that your next Break Out rewards you with the large, stunning blooms this variety is known for!
The two tubers I received were very small and very dried out. I planted them and hoped for the best. They never grew.

Planted 2 of these bulbs this year but no luck as neither one grew. I amended the soil, added organic flower fertilizer, planted with eyes up, covered with 2 inches of soil but they both never sprouted. Very disappointing.

Out of the 2 tubers, I only got one flower. It was pretty, but underwhelmingly small and not the color I was expecting. I was expecting a hint a pink and this flower was all white with some cream. It was ok.

Deeply disappointed purchased earlier in spring hoping for a great crop. Wish I had known previous to purchasing, everything people say about them is true. Do not purchase from here. Nothing sprouted arrived half mush. I’d trust the negative reviews! Hopefully they get it together and take better care.

I was so excited for this variety, especially after seeing good reviews. I am growing over 30 varieties of dahlia this season, 6 of which were ordered from Eden Brothers. I noticed that these tubers had not sprouted, and when I checked on them I had found that they were covered in crown gall. I am now scared that they have infected my entire dahlia garden and have to take extreme measures to disinfect, separate, and replace all soil that I have worked so long to amend and build up. Very devastating

The shipping was delayed so spent up until the last day before I would get a refund rather than the 2-4 day guarantee. This company refused to send replacements. All but 1 package came dried up with no eyes. We still planted them anyways and they have not grown. This company has the absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and I would not recommend purchasing from them. They are more interesting in getting your money for unviable tubers and then refusing a refund without you writing up an entire case with documentation explaining why this is not your fault. I wish I took pictures of the tubers out of the bag but we have limited experience with dahlias and did not do as much research as we have now when figuring out why nothings sprouting but the rest of our garden is thriving.

A lovely dahlia. These bloomed at the same time as some other dahlias varieties that I planted a month before. The blooms are huge with substantial, waxy petals. They are not as frilly as some other varieties, and therefore I find that they last longer as cut flowers. They also tend to fend off pests better than my cafe au lait and white perfection varieties.
I love this dahlia! It's like a Cafe au lait but with more charm and personality. Blooms were huge and beautiful. The petals have a gold shimmer in the sunlight, they were so so lovely. They will be a part of my dahlia garden from now on.
