Customer photo review of Dahlia Tubers (Ball) - Bonanza

It’s a beautiful flower, but I’m disappointed that it doesn’t fade from more yellow on the outside to a deeper orange at the center. It’s more of a solid orange. I thought maybe it was just me, but I guess not.

    Dahlia Tubers (Ball) - Bonanza

I was so excited for these but they did not grow. Sad!

Store owner replied: Hello Taylor. Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your dahlias did not grow. We understand how disappointing that is, especially when you were looking forward to enjoying their beautiful blooms. Dahlias perform best when planted in well-drained soil after the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed. Depending on soil temperatures and the variety, they can sometimes take several weeks to emerge. Consistent moisture during establishment is important, but overly wet soil can cause tubers to rot before they have a chance to sprout. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns and make things right. At Eden Brothers, we stand behind our products and are committed to helping our gardeners achieve success!

These are pretty but look nothing like pictured/advertised. They grew out a solid orange color with no variation or other colors mixed in. I tried giving it more time for a second flush to see if they’d mature or change with temperature changes but they are still orange. A bit disappointing but still pretty in their own way, and I’ll probably keep them around next year.

Was looking forward to this variety, but what I received from Eden was an infected tubular with crown gall. Very disappointed.

Tubers received had eyes and produced growth, but they don't look like the Bonanza at all. They're not even orange - just a solid yellow color.

First year planting these and they grew over 6' tall and produced at least 50 flowers each. They grew up and beyond the top of my fence and the neighbors coined them the "Dr.Suess flowers". Mine were more solid orange than this peach bicolor but they were amazing nonetheless.

    Dahlia Tubers (Ball) - Bonanza

I planted both tubers in pots in the spring and they have both grown to 3 or 4 feet tall but have not bloomed once this entire summer. They received water nearly every day and have remained green and apparently healthy, but it would have been nice to get some actual flowers.

I was hoping these bulbs would look like the photo. The ones I got produced flowers that were solely orange, without any pink in it. Still beautiful, but not exactly what I wanted.

The other review is correct, these are solid orange and not truly the bicolored Bonanza that is advertised. Still pretty and excellent producers but if placed next to Bonanza from another company, this is not the same dahlia.

So many blooms! I can't cut them fast enough! They are truly orange though and doesn't have the pink tones in it. The 2nd photo is the truest representation of what I've had bloom from these tubers! Great! And definitely recommend!
