These are very pretty but a lot of the blooms are a duller shade of bright pink than what’s advertised.

Out of ten seeds only one came up. It never got its second leaves and was soon gone. I've grown many coneflowers from seed and this is the first time I had such a poor showing.

Don" buy these seed packets, 9 seeds, what a rip off!!

I am "milk jug winter sowing" and was surprised to only get 9 seeds in this packet. As other reviewers have noted, it would be good to have an estimate of how many seeds per packet up front, before purchasing. I'm really hoping all 9 germinate...and I will update my review if they do.

I have to agree with everyone else here that I was expecting more seeds than I got… However, I would’ve been happy if I had at least gotten 2 to 3 flowers out of those seeds, but unfortunately zero germination. I followed all the steps, including cold stratification and still got none from this packet. I am bummed because I was really looking forward to growing these.

Thank you for putting on the packet that cold stratification was probably needed, as it is for most perennial seeds and judging from the reviews it really sounds like it’s needed in this case. However, I really wish that Eden brothers would put the number of seeds like other companies do because I don’t know if I would’ve purchased these — being that even with cold stratification it can more readily be hit or miss with cone flowers in my experience.

While I agree with the other reviews on the number of seeds in the packet (mine had 10), I read the growing guide and cold moist stratified them for 8 weeks and 7 of the 10 germinated. I’ve managed to kill one of them transplanting it but am hoping the rest will grow well!

I got SIX seeds. And of those six only ONE germinated. I saw in other reviews the company saying the average seeds are listed deep in the weeds. But that's just the problem. The number of seeds for this color is an order of magnitude different from basically anything else they sell, and having bought several other varieties of coneflower from them that's what I reasonably expected. If you're going to ddo something so different list it somewhere obvious or it's a dishonest thing to do. The second is if you're going to have that few seeds the seed count needs to be exact. Average of 10 seeds, and receiving 6 is 40% error, which is unacceptable.

I got 15 seeds which I planted in March inside in warm well light area and it took FOREVER to germinate and finally got one seedling. The seedling only took all summer to get big enough to transplant in the fall. We will see if it makes it.

As some others have commentated, the seed packet I received had very few seeds in it (I counted about 6) and absolutely nothing germinated (which is odd, because I’ve had success with almost all other Eden Bros seeds).

I got NINE seeds yesterday. If in fact you are going to ship a tiny number of seeds, add that information to your site description. Something like "expect to only receive nine seeds". Then we would know what to expect and it would allow your customers to make an informed decision on purchasing. I will say I have purchased many seeds here and have never run into a 'too few seeds' issue before. Please be more open with what you are selling. I'm giving you a two for lack of transparency. Thank you

My husband and I have been ordering from Eden Brothers every year for 3 years now. And my Dad ordered last year so we've been great customers. But this year is the LAST year. Coneflower packet had 9 seeds in it. Zinnia packets had 12 seeds. Haven't opened the rest of our order because I'm scared of the disappointment to follow.
