    What should I expect when receiving my Waxed Amaryllis Bulbs?

    Don’t be concerned if your Waxed Amaryllis shows little to no growth when it arrives—the bulb may simply be resting before its growing cycle begins. Some bulbs may already have a visible bud, while others will develop one after arrival. Keep your bulb in a warm location and allow 4–8 weeks for it to grow and produce its beautiful blooms.

    Do I need to water my Waxed Amaryllis Bulb?

    No. Waxed Amaryllis require no soil or water—the bulb contains stored energy that allows it to grow and flower on its own. Simply place it in bright, indirect light and enjoy watching it grow.

    Where should I display my Waxed Amaryllis Bulb?

    Place your Waxed Amaryllis in a warm location with bright, indirect light. Since no watering or soil is required, it’s perfect for displaying on tables, mantels, shelves, and even hard-to-reach spots where watering a traditional houseplant would be inconvenient.

    Can Waxed Amaryllis Bulbs rebloom the following year?

    Waxed Amaryllis are intended to be enjoyed as single-season bulbs, but it may be possible to get them to re-bloom with diligent care. After flowering, carefully remove the wax and metal base or glue without damaging any emerging roots, then plant the bulb in well-draining potting soil with the upper half of the bulb above the soil line. Gardeners in Hardiness Zones 8 through 11 can plant their bulbs outside. Provide plenty of light and regular fertilization throughout spring and summer to help the bulb rebuild the energy it used to flower. Even with proper care, re-blooming is not guaranteed and may take more than one season.

    What varieties of Amaryllis are available?
