I originally purchased these bulbs in 2022 planted them in the fall and had beautiful blooms in spring of 2023. My neighbor also loved them so she purchased a set for the fall of 2023. In the spring of 2024 her bulbs emerged and only one of my original bulbs returned. I contacted Eden Brothers to inquire if the bulbs were biannual and was told that they are not and was given a list of growing conditions to meet. All conditions were met, as they all bloomed the first spring. I was jealous of how beautiful my neighbors were, and therefore I purchased additional bulbs and planted in the fall of 2024. Now in the spring of 2025 it appears that all of the newly planted bulbs are emerging, and my neighbor seems to have the same problem as I did. Only one of her bulbs is emerging, and the other four have not. The flowers are beautiful and unique and grab a lot of attention, but they really are only annual bulbs, at least for us in zone 7. Will not be purchasing again.

Store owner replied: Hello Ryb. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We greatly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. It's so important to have feedback like this so we can continually improve our products and planting instructions. These are known to do well in your planting zone 7 and come back each year. They do need well draining soil, or they can rot. Sandy soil is ideal. After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to resolve this for you. Thanks for your time in sharing your experience with us!

I have a small garden, but sometimes I plant large flowers for dramatic impact, and these allium definitely bring that! They are unusual and lovely. In my garden, they have not experienced any pest pressure. I should’ve paid closer attention how far apart to plant because I did place them too close together. You have to give these guys room. They’re not like tulips or daffodil bulbs that you can bunch pretty close together. So I will just dig them up and move them further apart eventually. I highly recommend these. Once they bloom, the display is very long lasting.
