Customer photo review of Peacock Orchid Bulbs - Gladiolus acidanthera

I ordered this flower on impulse and was so glad I did! It really surprised me and turned out to be my favorite flower of the year. I planted several bulbs in the ground, they did not return this year, though the bulbs I planted in pots (that I stuck in my garage for winter) are all coming back again and have multiplied. There are two things I especially love about this beautiful flower: It grows multiple flowers per stem, that bloom one after another, and it bloomed multiple times last year. It bloomed midsummer and then once again in the fall. The flower in the photo was blooming in November!

These came up beautifully. I planted them among two containers and they grew tall (about 5’) and full of blooms. I will try to bring them in for the winter.
