    I bought 2 Cornel Bronze bulbs along with 2 Creme de Cognac bulbs from Eden. As of October, one is 8" tall and the other is 11" high and neither one has bloomed. One of them has a brownish bud on it that I have high doubts will do much. The Creme de Cognac did bloom but the plants are small. The photo shows the Cornell Bronze in the foreground and the Cognac in the background. Pots are large.

    The shape of these are gorgeous and the yield was good, but I received the wrong variety. Instead of the Cornel Bronze I ordered, these came in a deep magenta/dark purple color.

    I was growing my own wedding flowers this year so receiving the correct items was important to ensure that they worked with my color palette. I was extremely disappointed to find that rather than cornel bronze, I believe that I received “cornel.” This does not work for what I needed, so I can’t use them. Very disappointed. I ordered 6 varieties of dahlias from Eden brothers this year and the only one that was correctly labeled was café au lait.

    I ordered 5 different varieties, including Cornel Bronze. Of those, only 4 varieties successfully grew plants, and only one of those was the correct variety. I agree with the other review- if you don’t mind what variety you actually get then you could certainly take the risk of ordering. I, however, will not be wasting my money again.

    The tubers supplied ended up producing a very light tangerine orange, closer to golden sceptre than anything else, just a bit bigger. One plant has flowers that are half peach. They are great producers and still very pretty but not actually the cornel bronze I have come to know and love. I had the same issue with Bonanza which were not true to their name from this company. I have had great experience with them otherwise but don't know if I would recommend ordering dahlia tubers from them if you are looking for very specific colors.
