Daffodils: Beautiful, Affordable, Versatile, and Ohh So Easy To Grow!

Eden Brothers is proud to feature one of the most extensive selections of daffodil bulbs to be found anywhere in the United States. Also known by its botanical name narcissus (the names are synonymous), daffodils are famed the world over for their delicate trumpet-shaped flowers set amidst a star-shaped background. Of all the fall-planted/spring-blooming flower bulbs, daffodils are rivaled in popularity only by their celebrated cousin: the tulip.

Native to the Mediterranean, daffodils were highly prized by the ancient Greeks and Romans, and have been actively cultivated throughout the world to the present day. In the United States, the beauty of the daffodil has long been cherished and celebrated in verse; most notably by William Wordsworth in his 1804 poem “Daffodils”.

Daffodil bulbs should be planted in the fall, along with tulip bulbs, hyacinth bulbs, crocus bulbs, and allium bulbs. They can be planted in sun and/or in partial shade. And the best part about daffodils is that, if planted properly, they will come back year after year for several successions of beautiful spring bloom!

For more information about planting daffodil bulbs and other flower bulbs, please refer to our Planting Info section.
