Shipping Charges
In an effort to reduce costs and increase efficiency, we ship via several methods, and from warehouses on both coasts. Our standard shipping charges for 2012 are as follows:

Availability & Turnaround Time
All seeds are shipped year-round, while perennials & flower bulbs are shipped on a seasonal basis. Typical turnaround times for in-stock items is between 2 – 5 business days.

We try our utmost to maintain reliable inventory of all products, and are very proud of our record in doing so. However, as we are a company engaged in what Mother Nature provides, we do sometimes experience shortages and crop failures beyond our control. If, for any reason, we are required to backorder any portion of your order, rest assured we will keep you apprised of updated shipping information and/or any other options that may satisfy your needs and wishes.

*Lilies & Amaryllis arrive from Holland in early October, and cannot be shipped prior to that time. Therefore, all orders containing these varieties will be grouped together and shipped when the entire order is ready for shipment.
 
 
Shipping Method
With the exception of very large orders (usually 500 pounds or more), all orders are shipped ground via one of the following: UPS, FedEx, or the United States Postal Service. The size, weight, and destination of each order will typically determine which shipping method is used. For those customers requiring an expedited shipping option, feel free to contact us regarding price and availability
 
 
Multiple Ship Dates
Every order that we process is assessed a charge only once (if at all), regardless of whether or not its contents are to be shipped on different dates. In other words, even if your order requires multiple shipping dates, you will never be charged more than once for shipping charges. For example, if a customer were to place an order in February consisting of 5 Pounds of Wildflower Mix and 50 Darwin Hybrid Tulip Bulbs, the seed would be shipped immediately, and the bulbs would be shipped at the optimal time in the autumn based on the customer’s zip code.
 
 
Alaska, Hawaii, & Foreign Destinations
We are pleased to announce that all items in our current catalog can ship to both Alaska and Hawaii at our regularly published shipping prices. However, please note that due to obvious added costs and complexities, we are not able to extend any free shipping offers to our friends outside the continental United States. Therefore, all orders from Alaska and Hawaii, regardless of order total, must pay standard published shipping rates.

We regret that we’re not able to ship any of our products to any locations outside of the United States. The myriad governmental regulations pertaining to shipping horticultural products abroad simply do not permit us to process foreign orders at this time.
