I scattered these seeds early April. I was surprised how quickly they germinated and I had blooms early May. Beautiful variety of small flowers/bright colors - each morning seems to have even more blooms. I am very happy and recommend.
I bought several different mixes for areas around our property. Did a quick till and tossed about half a pound of this leftover seed in a spot that is typically shoulder high with marsh grass and then forgot about it, figuring it wouldnt do anything. Boy was I surprised when I went out today! Absolutely beautiful, even better than the areas I spent countless hours tending to! 🙃 tossed the seed out in May, zone 5b. Super excited to do it again next year!
Threw these seeds on an open patch in my community garden in April, not thinking much of it. Here we are in June and it is full of color! I am excited to watch these continue to bloom through the summer. The poppies and cornflowers are my favorite!
I scattered a bag of your Midwest seed mix in early spring on a very difficult to landscape slope in my front yard. I wanted to supplement some more established native perennials. It worked like a charm. EVERYONE in the neighborhood stops to admire the "rainbow garden" and say how much they love it. It's giving me weeks of joy and it was so easy.
I seeded a bank that is difficult to mow last fall, and these flowers have taken off this spring. I had someone pullover on our county highway just to ask how he could replicate this at his home. I will be buying more seeds and converting other areas of my yard to flowers. I can’t wait to see what continues to pop up over the course of the next few years. I highly recommend preparing your ground well, and you’ll be guaranteed a real show stopper.
I threw these seeds in a contained space that had full sun for at least 6 hours. There were only 2 flowers that bloomed - I didn't get the full flowers in the picture at all. Extremely disappointed and will not purchase products from Eden Brothers again.

Just like the photos in other reviews all you get are cornflowers and poppies. While this is pretty, I ordered perennials in this mix. I see no emerging small perennial plants.

Bought 5 varieties of different colors and only one color grew. Disappointing.

I bought this with the intention of seeding a very sandy area for my honeybees. It took a bit longer than I thought to seed, possibly because of the drought we experienced but once flowers started blooming it had a bunch of colorful flowers.
I planted 1/4 acre of this wildflower mix and WOW is all I can say. So beautiful. I go out to my wildflower patch every day, watching the hummingbirds, bees, butterflies all fly around. It’s so peaceful and brings me such joy. The flowers are beautiful and i see more and more each day. Thank you for the beautiful flowers!! Can’t wait to get married in front of these flowers in a month!!!!
I live in Minnesota (Zone 4b). For fun and curiosity, I planted these under a few different conditions: Fall planted full sun (2022), Fall planted part sun (2022), and Spring planted full sun (2023). I have very different plants growing based on these conditions. It's still early to tell what all's coming up, but here's what I'm seeing now (in mid-June): Fall planted full sun - mostly cornflower (bachelor's buttons), flax, and red/Shirley poppies; Fall planted part sun - mostly candytuft and coneflower; Spring planted full sun - mostly cosmos and California poppies. There are several other more slowly developing plants that I'm not sure of yet but am guessing are perennials. I only had lupines from the Fall plantings (most in full sun), and I only had candytuft in the Fall part sun planting. I think this little experiment was a good way to find out which seeds can overwinter - definitely need to harvest seed for spring planting from cosmos and California poppy, at least in MN. I'm excited to see how these different plantings continue to develop, and I hope others find my little experiment useful! :)
I bought this mix and spread it over a side lot I was tired of mowing and boy it is breathtaking and only the annuals have showed up for the first year. I wish I could add a picture because it really is amazing. It has attracted so many honey bees and the neighborhood can't stop commenting on how beautiful it is. I am thrilled to have found a Midwest Wildflower mix in a larger quantity to package into coin/seed envelopes stamped with "live love grow" for one of our wedding thank you gifts. I based this purchase on reviews, quantity & price (In that order). So, a big thank you to the previous reviewers for your helpful reviews, and to Eden Brothers for supplying an outstanding seed mix and shipping them so quickly!
Three years ago we planted about an acre of this mix. Every year they have bloomed but this year they are spectacular! We had over 30 large lupine plants and I think the coneflowers are finally going to bloom for the first time. I thought it was a bit expensive but now I see the value.
We purchased 20 lbs of in the spring 2015,for 1 acre of area. The spring rains of southern Wisconsin have come & we had excellent germination. The area is currently in bloom with the annuals! Excellent mix, the overage seeding tip, per sq foot of land,worked great!
