How to Plant White Garden Collection

    About White Garden Collection

White gardens are also known as moon gardens, and how awesome it is to extend your enjoyment of flowers into the night. With these bright white anemone, ranunculus, daffodil and hyacinth blooms, you'll create a glowing landscape that’s elegant, rich and calming.

When to Plant White Garden Collection

Bulbs should be planted before the beginning of winter. Plant the bulbs a few weeks before the ground freezes. This gives the bulb time to establish a root system.

Where to Plant White Garden Collection

For this collection, choose a sunny to partially shaded site that contains well drained soil. Avoid areas that are prone to standing water as this could result in bulb rot.

How to Plant White Garden Collection

Before planting, soak your Anemone and Ranunculus bulbs for a few hours in lukewarm water. Prepare the site by removing any weeds or stones and use a fork or trowel to loosen and aerate the soil. Use a trowel to dig a hole large enough to fit all of the bulbs that you are planting. For large quantities, you may also dig a large bed. The depth of the hole should be twice the length of the bulb itself. Make sure the pointed end of the bulb is up in the ground. Be careful not crowd the bulbs too close together as this may inhibit future growth. For the biggest plants and blooms, place a little bulb fertilizer in the hole during planting.

How to Care for White Garden Collection

Leave the foliage in place once blooming has ended for the season, be sure not to cut it off. The leaves will continue to gather sunlight and strengthen the bulbs for future seasons. Leaves will yellow and die back as the plant goes dormant. Foliage may be removed at this point.
