Mexican Tuberose Bulbs - Polianthes tuberosa
With its sugary-sweet scent, Mexican Tuberose has won its way into gardener's hearts and gardens! This bulb produces tall stalks with numerous creamy white blooms and a fragrance that is deep, rich, and seductive. Best suited to warm weather gardens, give your Mexican Tuberose plenty of sun and heat. Its tall spikes do well as a cut flower too, so you can enjoy its fragrance indoors!
Name: Mexican (Single) Tuberose Botanical Name: Polianthes tuberosa Life Cycle: Perennial Bulb/Tuber Size: No. 1 Color: White Blooms Planting Season: Spring Bloom Season: Mid to late Summer Height at Maturity: 4ft Planting Depth: 2" - 4" Deep Light Requirement: Full Sun Hardiness Zones: All Hardy 8 - 11, Colder Zones Lift Prior to Frost Ships: Spring
When to Plant your Tuberose Bulbs:
Plant your Tuberose Bulbs in the Spring after danger of the last frost has passed. Mexican Tuberose thrives in hot, sunny climates so it can’t tolerate frost.
Where to Plant your Tuberose Bulbs:
Plant your Tuberose Bulbs in a location that has good draining soil. After a hard rain, it shouldn’t have standing puddles after a few hours. If the soil doesn’t drain well, you can amend it with organic material like compost. Mexican Tuberoses do best in full sun.
How to Plant your Tuberose Bulbs:
Plant your Tuberose Bulbs 2-4 inches deep. If you want concentrated areas of Tuberoses, leave 8 to 10 inches between your bulbs.
How to Care for your Tuberose Bulbs:
Tuberoses are easy to grow and maintain - simply keep an eye on when they might need watering. We recommend around 1 inch of water per week if there aren’t regular rains. Tuberose flowers are wonderfully scented and can be cut for flower arrangements. Don’t cut your foliage off at the end of the season - let it yellow so the plant can still receive nutrients.

VERY FAST GROWING AND HARDY
I had previously ordered bulbs from another company and they were duds. Since I love these flowers I decided to give Eden Bros tuberoses a try. I ordered the last in stock for the season thinking I would not get any flowers this year. I planted them and much to my surprise received several flower stalks with very fragrant flowers. I'm so glad I did!
They are doing well and growing quickly.
100% Germination rate
All 25 bulbs sprouted with vigorous leaves within 2-4 weeks here in SoCal. Not expecting any flower stalks until next season. Good value for the price.
Growing tall! Anxious to see and smell them bloom!!
I ordered and planted these late in the season. They are healthy and thriving.
