How to Plant Impressionist Garden Collection

    About Impressionist Garden Collection

This beautiful collection contains Tulips, Daffodils, and Hyacinths to provide you with a ready made bouquet you can create whenever you desire!

When to Plant Impressionist Garden Collection

Bulbs should be planted before the beginning of winter. Plant the bulbs a few weeks before the ground freezes. This gives the bulb time to establish a root system.

Where to Plant Impressionist Garden Collection

For this collection, choose a sunny to partially shaded site that contains well drained soil. Avoid areas that are prone to standing water as this could result in bulb rot.

How to Plant Impressionist Garden Collection

Prepare the site by removing any weeds or stones and use a fork or trowel to loosen and aerate the soil. Use a trowel to dig a hole large enough to fit all of the bulbs that you are planting. For large quantities, you may also dig a large bed. The depth of the hole should be twice the length of the bulb itself. Make sure the pointed end of the bulb is up in the ground. Be careful not crowd the bulbs too close together as this may inhibit future growth. For the biggest plants and blooms, place a little bulb fertilizer in the hole during planting.

How to Care for Impressionist Garden Collection

Make sure to water the site regularly, being careful not to over-water. Remove spent flowers as soon as the bulbs finish blooming. Snapping off the top of the flower stem encourages the plant to send energy into bulb growth rather than seed production. Allow the foliage to wither completely before you remove it.
